Cades Revenge

Loved the story of Cades determination to never give up looking for Arabella, and kept his promise and raised her daughter. Happy sad ending, but many wonen died in childbirth in those days

Exciting

This is book two of the Cade series. At the end of the last book, the rancher Cade worked for suggested he become a cattle drive contractor and be responsible for all aspects of the cattle drive. The rancher said he could take his cattle to Abilene, and, in this book, Cade is now in charge of the cattle drive. Before he leaves a big hurricane hits Galveston. The story is the usual cattle drive story, but at the end we find that Cade’s wife has been kidnapped.

The book is well written and researched. There could be more character development, but this is only book two of the series. The book is fast paced with lots of action. The book is very hard to put down. This is my third book by Vaughan. I think I have found another western author to follow. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

The book is six hours and twenty-one minutes. Bob Rundell does a good job narrating the book. Rundell is and an actor and audiobook narrator.

Excellent story crafting

Excellent plot construction , character development, and descriptive language. Obvious careful research provides a foundation of credibility to the presentation of the historic period.
