Publisher's summary

The Captain

By day, Pierce Pennington is one of Boston's most respected and successful merchants. By night, he becomes the infamous Captain MacHeath, smuggling arms by sea under the pall of darkness-in the name of liberty....

The Captive

Portia Edwards will go to any length to find the family she's never known. All her life, she thought herself to be an orphan. Then she finds that her mother is not only alive, but here in Boston, being held captive by Portia's own grandfather, and she will need more than a little help spiriting her mother away to England....

The Caprice

But asking for help is something Portia has never found easy. So even when she steals into her grandfather's masquerade ball and meets with the perfect opportunity to ask the dashing Pennington for help, stubborn pride stands in her way. Pennington would like nothing better than to forget about this proud young woman, yet he finds he cannot stop thinking of the night he met her in a garden....

Contains mature themes.

Another well done performance

Yet another enjoyable story line delivered via a lively performance. The characters came to life and jumped from the pages. Onto the 3rd book in this series

Great story, well written, mediocre narration

I loved the story, the authors are excellent but the narrator obviously was unfamiliar with how to pronounce important historic locations such as “Culloden” or the naval terms such as forecastle. Please if you’re going to read aloud, take the time to look up words of which you’re unsure.

Enjoyed but...

I really like this series. The stories are quite good, but the narration is lacking. Sienna Frances isn't horrible but she isn't good either. If you can get past the narration I highly recommend the series.

Don’t bother!!

I’m so disappointed! I had such high hopes for this series. Loved the 1st two books but this one arrrrrggghh! What the ??? H/H is horrible!

24yrs old H/H is a irritating, spoil, roiled, deceiving slut.
Understand her plight on wanting to save her mom. But badly written that HH conning ppl she loved is acceptable!

Badly done! Badly done indeeded!
