Is there gonna be another book in this series??

Simply put, the narrator did an awful job. She was very robotic and had next to zero inflection in her voice. I had the hardest time getting through the whole book. I think I'm just gonna buy the paperback and reread it. And if there are more books in this series, I'll be skipping Audible and just buy the paperbacks as well.

Next, the action was 99% of the book which I feel is well written. Every romantic part between Lily and Jason is very...chaste. which is fine, I mean they are only 15 or 16 so I'm good with that. Sébastien on the other hand is a whole other topic. Is he good or bad? Does he like Lily? Does Lily like him? And I'd like to see more with the other characters as well, especially all the parents.

We need at least one more book. Although, with the way the first 3 are written, we might need more like 4 more books.

In the end, if you're looking for a clean, action packed series, that may or may not be a finished product, I highly recommend this series... although, definitely buy the paperbacks. They're pretty and much better than listening to this narrator.

Sarcasm and spell casting... Can I get more please

I really enjoyed the Dark Elite series. Something about boarding schools that always makes me think of witches, cults, vampires, etc. This one captures all of that and adds a werewolf to boot. Lily is such a normally sarcastic teenager that would probably just being hanging with her BFF Scout in their dorm room... But they are not normal teens and they are always setting off on adventures. This adventure leads straight to more trouble and that is where all the fun begins.

I am disappointed that this is the last book in the series. I was really hoping to find out what happens next.

Stay away from this narrator..

What would have made Charmfall better?

I almost couldn't finish this book because of the narrator. It's a pity because i like the author and the series. But the narrator sounds like a shouting school girl, and that ruined everything for me.

Meh.

It pains me to give Chloe Neill such a low rating. I think part of this was the narrator. While she does a nice job reading, her voice doesn't match a 15 year old girls and so there is a bit of a disconnect. It wasn't that it was bad, but I found my mind wandering and not that excited to finish. I liked the ending, but the build up was not all that.... Build upy? Anyway. And okay story, but not great

Great story, Horrible narrator

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

A different Narrator. I read and liked the first 2 books. Then I tried to listen to the third, and because of the terrible narrator I couldn't get through it. I've never had a narrator's voice actually grate on my nerves before. She's nasally, her cadance is robotic, and her words are over-enunciated. And did I mention nasally? Literally painful to listen to. What were they thinking?

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Anna Lathrop?

Anyone. But some good narrators for teenage protagonists include: Sarah Drew, Emily Schafer, Gabrielle de Cuir, Julia Whalen, Cassandra Morris, Mandy Sigfreid, Rebecca Lowman, Devon sorvari, Justine eyre.
