Healing power of unconditional love
If you love animals, no matter what kind you can relate to this story. I laughed, and I cried, and enjoyed every moment of this story of rebuilding ones life through love of a horse.

Amazing
Any additional comments?
Usually I will only listen to memoirs by the author; it's much more real to me. I chose to listen to this one anyway. Not only was the story amazing, sad and all too relatable; the narrator was so good! I truly could believe it was her story throughout. I laughed, I cried, I contemplated. This is one of the best books I've listened to yet!

Love this book!!!
Funny, serious, very heartwarming! I love listening to this book. The narrator is very good and that makes an audiobook great. Make sure you have a box of Kleenex handy too.

Wonderfully Written and Read
I could hardly stop listening to this story that was an excellent blending of horsemanship and human vulnerability. You will love it if you love horses but you will also love it if you've never had experience with a horse. It is a wonderful story of forgiveness, compassion and healing. Lorna Raver who narrated this story gave the best performance I have literally ever heard. She became the author. Five stars for her. Great book; great listen.

Beautiful and Bittersweet
The story was well-written with a great sense of humor woven throughout. I laughed out loud in some places and cried like a baby in others. Rarely has a story evoked such an emotional response in me. As a horse-lover and a woman of a certain age, this book resonated on many levels. The narrator was perfect. What a lovely gift this book is, and free, too. First time I’ve felt compelled to write a review, but this story, and the horses at the center of it will stay with me for a long time.

Such a beautiful story!
So beautifully written, so beautifully narrated. You would think Lay Me Down was MY horse by how many tears I shed for her. And for Susan’s loss. Loved every minute of this story.

Lovely story that warms the heart
