The story was entertaining and had some twists that added to the mystery. The narrator's deliverance however was monotone when not with an Irish accent.

A wee bit disappointing

I preferred the initial Carlene O’Connor performer. The short stories were all a tad weak. Possible that the limited amount of time didn’t allow for more complex character building?

Couldn't get past the first couple of chapters

I cannot judge the stories as I could not listen to the attempted Irish accent. The reader sounds American, and I found her reading in her own voice to be just fine. Her attempts at an Irish accent, though... could not listen to that.

Pretty good story! No cursing or detailed sexual reference -this a good thing!
Narration was a little FLAT but was getting the story clearly to the audiences.

Fun Christmas Cozies

What a find! I love this collection of three Christmas mysteries. The first is my favorite, because I already knew all of the characters. I've been listening to the series for a long time. The last was my least favorite, as it was based on a Christmas escape room, and I'm not really a fan of escape rooms.

Love Carlene O'Connor's books but...

I love Carlene O'Connor's books, but the performer of this one was an unfortunate choice. She wasn't a good fit for the narration nor the characters and their accents. I had to stop listening. Caroline Lennon's performances brought Carlene's characters to life in her previous books and I hope she will be back for the audio of Carlene's future books in the Irish Village Mystery Series... to keep them alive.

Oh dear…

This should be marked as 2.5 in the series - it is very out of place after the third book. Also, the narration is very, very bad. I wish I’d read the reviews before starting so I wasn’t so disappointed. I don’t think I will/can listen to the whole thing - I’ve skipped the middle third just so I learn what happened.

Good stories

The stories were enjoyable. The narrator was very good. She delivered the story smoothly. Each story was a nice, cozy experience. They kept my attention from the beginning to the end.
