How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

Better Narrator the way Archie read the sex scenes was making me laugh and shake my head.
Better writing in the sex scene also, example you better fucking cum, terrible

Am I supposed to be laughing during the sexy times

I first read this book awhile back but while I'm working I will listen to audible. I have steadily been going through Nicole Snow's books. So it was this books turn. Seriously am I supposed to be laughing during the sex scenes? 🤔 because listening to the male narrator is hilarious. All his moaning, grunting and groaning especially when its his female's voice. I'm laughing just writing this thinking about it. I can ignore a lot when it comes to the narrators and I will here as well. But I'm sure Nicole didn't have laughter in mind while writing these scenes.

The one thing that irritates me now and also when I read the book was the way the H treats the h. Yeah I get war is horrible, I have a military brother, I dont want to experience it but that in no way justifies the way her treated her. Sometimes the h is tough about it but ultimately shes weak. He makes a phone call to his sister and BOOM it's all cleared up and they're making up. Man just once I'd love an author to just have the h be super strong. Yep I had sex with you, thanks for that, walk out leaving behind the douche and live her life. And since this is chick lit she'd of course find her perfect guy in the last few pages of the book. Sadly that never happens.

Is this worth a listen? I dont know, I'm easily entertained. Remember, I'm laughing through the sex scenes and I'm still listening.

Female narrator sucks

struggled to listen to the female narrator chapters. She didn't read the transcript. Changed words like pleasure instead of pressure. It made the line make no sense. Her lack of any pleasure induced language was quite aggravating.

Predictable and Dragged

I am starting to find Nicole Snow to be a bit predictable and this story dragged a quite a bit. I am usually into her stories but this one was hard to finish. I had stop listening to it a couple of times and finally decided to get it over with. I almost returned it because the story and the performance weren't really that good. The synopsis made it sound so much better. I usually just rate most of the audiobooks with the stars and will occasionally leave reviews when I feel a need to leave a review. I usually like Nicole Snow's books but this one just missed the mark. The end seemed to drag on and on for me. I thought she could have ended the story much quicker and what's up with her constantly writing about virgins having rough sex that most women have to work their way to that level of rough play. Her alpha macho male heros are out screwing around with other women, and while her heroines are these prude virgins that can some how keep up with her hero counterparts. Seriously this isn't Nicole Snow's only book like this, hence predictability. I am disappointed that this book wasn't better because it could have been way more than it was.

Different Narrators????

The story was great! Loved the premise and the writing. Both the Narrators seemed to be badly matched.

He was growly and occasionally over emphasized phrases, while she gave a very subtle reading. Gave it an unbalanced feel.

Bad Narration

The story line was ok not the greatest thing I’ve read. Definitely had a lot of head shaking moments and the female character really started bothering me at the end. But I’m easy to please so I looked pass all of that but the narration was HORRIBLE! Omg! The male characters “female” voices were a little creepy, especially the daughter. More distracting then anything. And he read so dramatically. He seriously over did it. Not everything was so dramatic lol. The female was soooooo dry and boring. She read like she was reading a menu. Maybe not even that because I show way more excitement for food then she did this story. It was just sooo bad. Everytime it was her turn I dreaded it. I will be sure to write her name down to ensure that I don’t get stuck with a story of hers again. Overall not a bad book but I’d stick to the kindle version.

Another Awesome Book by Nicole Snow

The story line was fantastic and the characters are amazing. The narrators are good in their own right. I think there should have been a better match though, one was very expressive and the other not.
