Editorial reviews

Nice story but boringly read and too much music

The story is good but the narrator seems to be sleeping while reading. Also far too much music playing. We buy the book to have the story read to us, not to have so much bad music at the end of every chapter (30 seconds every time, very irritating)

Wonderful interpretation

The narrator's Meursault is queerly monotonous and chillingly calm throughout. The pathological character is thus brilliantly brought to life.

Formidable!

A narration that makes you feel like the story is being told by that who wrote it, and the plot, as if narrated from that who lived it. It leaves me with a slightly sour aftertaste like a sweet fruity wine and a casually profound understanding of the mind of a lonely human, who lives led by honesty and tolerance.

Racist…

Excellent writer! He is very racist. He killed a man, and he refuses to even find out his name or addresses him by his name. He just kept referring to him as the Arab. This writer has any understanding of geography, he will know that Algeria is located in north Africa and considered an African country, secondly if you kill someone, the least you can do is find out his name, and have some respect or some level of respect for him. I found that the overall book was simplistic, but I absolutely loved the last chapter chapter 11. It was nice to see him being humbled.

Beautiful book by a skilled author

Makes one reflect on unfair judgement based on mere personal perspective of the other. Made me question social Justice. A captivating piece of art! Serene narration and music between chapters reflect the austerity of this artwork. Enjoyed every word.

A riveting story with a perfect end

A journey of a man looking for a face to find one at the end...Camus is brilliant.
