Publisher's summary

Step into a heartwarming world of cowboys and courage, family and fun, sweet romance and happily ever afters. Come home to Sweet Water, North Dakota, a small town where faith changes things and everyone knows your name. Pull up a chair and sit a spell! You'll be glad you did!

Book One: When Derek and Rose reunite, after many years and a world of pain, they easily fall into the lie that they are an item. Only neither one of them are good liars, and their hearts are deeply wounded.

Book Two: Spending a summer together might convince both of them they could take a chance on each other, but when his ex walks back into his home, he’s faced with a choice: does he walk away from the best thing that’s ever happened to him? Or will he come home to stay?

Book Three: God seems to be testing him in a strange way when he ends up snowed in with Hollywood’s biggest movie star – five times divorced – and three boys who aren’t his, but who need a dad…and a mom.

Book Four: A terrible tragedy strikes and Gladys has some decisions to make, but she’s not about to drive off into the night without the one person who has never steered her wrong. Can she convince her cowboy dreams are better when they’re shared?

Book Five: A good deed. A tragic accident. Two people who come together to help each other. Could this be the end of their dreaming alone?

Book Six: Soon, everyone in Sweet Water has a finger in the pie and everyone is holding their breath to see if the Piece Makers will have another successful match, or if a dark horse will ride in and steal the potential groom away.

Book Seven: Sweet Water’s matchmakers soon have Peyton at Bryce’s mansion, working on his books, but she barely sees Bryce – until a ghost from his past forces him to ask for her help. On the surface they have nothing in common, but could a friendship forged between this unlikely pair grow into something more?

Book Eight: Famous pro-baseball player, Dwight Eckenrode, never thought he’d need the services of a group of small-town matchmakers.

A sermon in every book

These 8 books by Jessie Gussman are just ok. If you want a be given a sermon and marriage advice at every opportunity, these books are for you! For me, they are too preachy. The storylines are ok. Jay Dyess does a fairly good job.

every book like a devotional

Loved the intertwining of God's word and the stories. So many thought provoking moments in each book.

Nice story lines

They went well together and each one had a great storyline yet they all tied in together.

Wholesome & uplifting but VERY predictable…

As a lifelong Christian I appreciate these godly stories and I enjoy Jay’s narration BUT there is very little variation in these books. It’s easy to turn them on while going about my day & I appreciate that I can get all eight for the price of one, so thanks for that!

Wonderful Christian Romance

Written well and easy to listen too. Nice to read romance novels filled with Christian teachings and ways to be a better person living Gods word.
