Publisher's summary

It's not easy being a space pirate....

Actually, wait. Yes it is. It's keffing awesome.

The three va Sithai brothers - that's us - cruise the universe looking for abandoned ships, treasure, and other pirate ships to rob. Right now, we're on the hunt for the Buoyant Star, an abandoned cruiser rumored to have a massive treasure inside. The ship's been found at the edge of an ice field at the far reaches of space.

That treasure? About to be all ours. But the ship's not all that abandoned. The Star is crewed by a few lonely, attractive human females who are thoroughly grateful at being rescued....

Actually, wait. They're not grateful at all. They've set us a trap, and their leader, a beautiful human female named Jade, gives me a smile just before she captures me.

It's official. I'm in love.

Keff me Adiron🥵

I loved the earlier stories that had a beauty & the beast vibe where the men felt they were too ugly & broken to find love, but I was in love with Adiron’s goofball vibe in this story & his filthy mouth, keff me🌶️🥵

Also, I’m in stitches over the reviewer who was clutching their pearls. I’m not sure how they managed to find this book without realizing what kind of writing Ruby Dixon is known for. If she think Dixon is filthy & degrading, she clearly doesn’t know what else is out there.🤣🤣 Audible better never stop publishing her works. I’m working my way through her entire catalog & loving every filthy moment of it!

Best book from Ruby Dixon!!

I’ve read a majority of Ruby’s books so far and this one by far is my favorite! The steamy scenes are HOT and that’s saying a lot since Ruby definitely knows how to write a dang good steamy scene! The story line is different and exciting and the narrators did an AMAZING job as always. I will be re-reading this book over and over!

Such a Goofball.

This spin off from the Corsair is even better than the original series. It will be interesting to see what books come from this series with all the stasis pods on the ship. As you know Ruby Dixon’s books are hot and full of big blue aliens that are defiantly a fantasy. Love this series, Ice Planet & Ice Home are always going to be my favorite of her series. Narrators are great, I always enjoy listening to them.

Great performance and story as always.

My only complaint at all would be the length of this one. It just kept going and going. Again, I really enjoyed the book but I felt that it could have been somewhat more condensed.

Rom Com

The beginning of the book was hilarious! Adiron had me in stitches. The middle was good but not nearly as entertaining. The last part of the book was not really funny at all. Then things came to the perfect spot to end, but it didn't. It just kept rambling on and on and on. When you get to the spot where things are wrapping up, about hour 10, then just skip to the epilogue and you will have saved yourself some seriously boring time. Or, speed things up to 2x and zip through the dull parts.

You can skip book 2, Alice is a whiner.

I love the Va Sithai brothers.

I have had a lot of fun reading the books containing references to these space pirates. It's fun to have them featured in their own books. Aaaand, I gotta say, I LOVE Bethiah as a crazy side character in a number of Ruby Dixon's books. Any chance that she'll have her own story soon?

Mostly liked it

I found this book a refreshing take on the Big Blue Guys coming from the Icehome series. I thought the Adiron was so much fun and the narration was great.

My only complaints are that I thought this was a new series but there are SO many other characters with seemingly full stories and connections to Adiron and his brother's that it was a bit confusing or just distracting. I also skipped about an hour of this book because I was bored out of my mind with the drama of his ex girlfriend showing up. It was lame and predictable writing and I was so disappointed. I suffered no loss in story by skipping ahead because all that action/drama was rehashed in basically TLDR (listen) dialogue between Jade, Adiron and others. It would have been repetitive filler otherwise.

I'm going to keep going with this series for now, but because of the pop up characters I now need to see if Sophie has her own book cuz her story seems like it would be shy sunshine meets shy grumpy and that could be a fun read/listen.
