About this listen

Croaky has a nice home deep in the woods with only the best lily pads for a bed. But Croaky dreams of being a star. He’s tired of singing to the same people all the time. He wants to expand his audience. So, when the opportunity to move to the city comes along, he hops along. However, the city isn’t quite what Croaky expected, and he learns a valuable lesson in appreciating what he has.

Croaky will not only entertain toddlers, but also will teach them a lesson in appreciating who they are.

cute

This was my 3 year old daughters first audiobook. It held her attention pretty well. She was able to repeat back to me what she heard in the story. I think she may have engaged better with a higher pitched voice or a little more animated reading but all in all, she seemed to like it.

Good rendition of "the grass is greener"

This story is good for kids. It will explain that things don't always go according to plan and how we should be content with what we have.

The narrator does a good job of using different voices for the characters and adding some life.

I would enjoy listening to this book with my son while looking at the pictures of a written book.

Cute

Croaky wanted to be a star, so leaving home, he set out to find his dream. Along the way, he meets a few others, but ultimately he realizes that he can be a star at home with those that love him and life was a little easier.
I listened to the audio version of the story. The narrator was ok, but, I would say, for a children's book, she needed to have a little more dramatics to keep them entertained. However, she has good character voices.
I did enjoy the story.

Cute little story!

My son enjoyed this cute little story! The audio quality wasn't the greatest, there is significant background noise, but it isn't too distracting.

I received this audiobook for free in exchange for a review.
