I genuinely loved this story.

I am genuinely enjoying this series. I love how they are touching on heavy topics while giving larger bodied girls and women a main character we can relate to.

Moving

Loved this story and it was very moving. I especially loved the author note. Touching. I too can relate to this book.

The title caught my eye.

I don’t even know how I found this book but I am glad I did. I just finished a seriously heavy fantasy book and needed something a little lighter to listen to.

Now though I enjoyed this book and felt a lot of the same things Rory felt being as I too was a curvy girl in high school. This book does hit close to home and brings up emotions I didn’t think still bothered me but they do.

The mother in this book wasn’t my favorite she was very all about health of the body but not of the mind and as she is a health teacher I thought she would have had a mind to that.
The brother was amazing I loved him!

Overall I enjoyed the book and wish there were more in the series on Audible I would snag them right up. As it is I have book 2 read to go.

I also very much liked the narrator.

reminds me of my high school days

I remember being like Rory crushing on the most amazing guy in school. Feeling like everyone was judeing me because of my weight. starving myself to loss a few pounds, skipping meals, drinking cranberry juice as meal replacements, feeling like no one would ever love me for me because I was over weight. being teased by the guys on the football team (jokes and whatnot). until I found my "Beckett" at twenty five. this book had me crying and remembering my seventeen year old self but it also made me smile. thank you for writing a wonderful book. showing all us "Curvy girls" that we can do anything that the Merritts of the world can do only we don't have to try as hard.

Just what I needed right now

SO GOOD! I was diagnosed with PCOS at 13 and went through a lot of what Rory did. It’s so tough and it’s amazing to have a character that represents that in a book I’m reading. The story was cute and just made me feel good by the end.

Real issues and a amazing read!

As a very curvy girl who also has PCOS and has never been loved like that from another potential love match this book hit so close to home and made feel like someone else gets it and that everyone deserves love! This was a fantastic read and evoked many emotions for me!

This is a good story for young girls to read. Body positive messages are important. Especially for school age children.

Beautiful

What a beautiful and relatable book! I was diagnosed with PCOS at 14. I have never ever read a book with someone who also had it. Even tho the book doesn’t go fully into detail on the struggle with all of the symptoms. Since it mainly focuses on weight and that is the Main struggle. For me the hardest part for get yo to a relationship was even if I did get a guy to live me for me and not care about my size. It felt wrong to let a guy fall in love with someone who might never be able to give him kids. Thankfully I meet my husband my JR year of high school. He was the hot guy all the girls wanted. Once I allowed myself to fall in love with him and he told me that we could always adopt someday. He truly saved me from myself and we have a beautiful family of 4! So no matter who you are out there or what you look like or what illness you may have. Everyone deserves love and no one is out of your league! If they think they are too good for you then it’s actually the other way around. You are too good for them! Love yourself because if you can’t live yourself how can you love anyone else?
