Publisher's summary

Elliana Allbright's life has blossomed in Poppyville, California, since she opened Scents & Nonsense, a custom-made perfume store. Her skills with aromas and botanical essences - some from her very own garden - seem almost supernatural. Her perfumes can evoke emotions, bring about change, or simply make people happy. Customers are flocking to the store to buy her wares or just to sit in her beautiful garden, sip tea, and enjoy homemade cookies.

But Ellie smells trouble when she learns that her part-time assistant, Josie, is dating her ex. And before she can tell the young woman to beware of his charms, she finds Josie dead in the Enchanted Garden. Now the prime suspect in Josie's murder, Ellie must search for the real culprit in Josie's past - because it'll take a miracle to nip this problem in the bud.

Narator rushes through the tale survives

An enjoyable story line and engaging people. Read the book to avoid the irritating narator

Just seemed flat

I love her other series and listen to them over and over. The book covers are beautiful. I think i will try the next book, maybe I just miss her other narrator. Love the plant/aroma therapy/recipes references.

Very Good Start

I really enjoyed this book. Bailey Cattrell created interesting characters in a nice town. There is a little romance and an interesting mystery. I look forward to the next book.

Difficult Narrator but loved the story

Would you listen to Daisies for Innocence again? Why?

Yes. I loved the story. Loved the magical garden, descriptions made me feel like I was there . . . and I wish I was! And of course the little corgi Dash.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Iliana, the magical gardener!

Would you listen to another book narrated by Vanessa Daniels?

Ummm . . . probably not unless it was a book that I just had to hear and couldn't find time to read.

Any additional comments?

The narrator was very difficult to sit through. There were many mispronounced words, such as Newfoundland and pergola. She also takes awkward pauses and reads quickly so I caught myself rewinding to catch missed words.

Slow down narrator!

It was nearly impossible to finish because of the narrator. Pronunciation was appalling and she raced through without inflection or even sentence breaks.

great beginning!

can't wait to learn more about flowers. the reader took a few mins to get used to. most readers I've listened to have different tone of voice for different characters. this reader feel more like a friend reading allowed. not bad just different! can't wait to hear the next!
