seemed too close to microphone....distorted at times.

I like how the author combined JP Beaumont and Brandon Walker together in a story. That was cool. I did not like every chapter beginning with a part of some Indian tale. A bit boring. I would have skipped those parts but not easy to do in an audio book. In spite of this, the was fast paced book and mostly held my interest.

Wonderful Interweaving of Native American Stories

I particularly enjoy Jance's Joanna Brady stories of Arizona but the interweaving, so naturally, of the Native American folklore was my favourite part of this book. I hope Lonnie is a regular in the Brandon Walker novels. It reminds me of Tony Hillerman's wonderful mysteries.

Don’t feel JPB was of value to this story

I was not easily involved in this story as I have been where JPB was the Central character.

Not what I thought I was buying

I bought this book because I thought it was a J.P. Beaumont book but it’s not. It’s a Walker Family story with a guest appearance by J.P. I’m a fan of J.P. Beaumont but not as it turns out of the Walker Family series. The historical Indian lore did not hold my attention.

Different

This was quite different from the usual J a Jance books. It took about half of the book to begin to get involved in the story. I am not sure whether I have an interest in reading further Walker mysteries. There was very little JP Beaumont involvement, and I was expecting to hear a JP Beaumont book. It also seemed to start in the middle of the Walker series.

again. a wonderful story from an accomplished writer. loved the native stories also. Read 9n people

Mishmash

Not your usual Beaumont type detective mystery. I prefer Seattle, NW themed locations. Takes too long to get Beaumont involved.

Amazing series

Love it. Want more books in this series. Suspence, culture, betrayal and loyalty. Great series.

Lost garbage

J. A. Jance, what happened? This was one of the most painful stories I've ever listened too. I listened to the end hoping that at some point you'd get on track. You were all over on this one, very hard to keep track and I got to the point I didn't care. I hope the next one is beater.
J. R. Horne, you have a great voice. Please learn to pronounce the cities, towns, and other Washington features correctly. It's Bellingham pronounced Belling HAM, not Belingnmn. And many others.

Kept my interest

The story was difficult to turn off after I figured out who was who. A bit confusing in the beginning but it started to weave the people together. My only small criticism is the reader's pronunciation of southwest words. It was jarring to hear cholla and Sajuaro pronounced so incorrectly. With that exception it was a very good story to listen to.
