Publisher's summary

Still reeling from the death of President Glass, Deputy Marshal Mason Raines finds himself working for the New Colony. Using his unique skills as both lawman and soldier, he leads an elite team tasked with retrieving critical supplies for mankind's last survivors. While delivering goods to an independent food supplier, known only as "The Farm", Mason uncovers a secret that goes against all that it means to be human. Refusing to join their ranks, he soon finds himself the target of a man willing to do anything to keep that secret from being revealed.

Hundreds of miles away, Tanner and Samantha investigate a cryptic call from the Watts Bar Nuclear Facility. There they discover a menace so great that it threatens to leave the surrounding area forever uninhabitable. When Tanner is captured by a militia group, Samantha is faced with not only surviving on her own, but also finding a way to secure his escape.

With Tanner and Samantha away, Issa secretly departs for Mount Weather to share the exciting news of her pregnancy. Armed with an elephant rifle and her two trusty blades, she discovers a band of men trafficking in those who have been afflicted with the virus. It is then that Issa must decide where her loyalties lie, as well as how much risk she and her unborn child can endure.

I loved this one! A great continuation of the series! I need to write at least 20 words, not easy for me kinda like Tanner that way.

Really enjoyed the whole series.

I enjoyed the first book in the series so much that I continued reading the rest of the series within two weeks. The author's writing was both compelling and very realistic.
The narrator did a wonderful job.
After reading the first book, I was hooked. I have read many books apocalyptic books and this The Survivalist series , written by Dr. Arthur T Bradley , has now become one of my favorites.

Worth the read

This series has gotten a bit silly, but if you like the earlier books, you will also like this one. I will read the next one.

The Game is Afoot!

After finishing the last book in the series, I wasn't sure if Dr. Bradley could bring it back into the thick of things in a way that would be interesting or seem as notable as the previous story arc, but I was wrong.

If anything, the characters finally come into their own in this story.

Some elements of the story seem a bit too convenient at times, and parts of it seem a little bit hurried, but when it comes time for Tanner, Samantha and Mason to shine, the story doesn't disappoint for this fan. Bowie is still my favorite character, as ever.

Good stories are all about characters, and writing interesting characters is a difficult thing to do. Overall, the series has a bit of a systematic feel to it sometimes, giving the story some meat and chances to see the characters grow. Even so, I couldn't help but visibly grin at times listening to their exploits.

I'll be eagerly awaiting the continuation of the series.

Fantastic Series!

This is Fantastic Series! I really enjoy the things I've learned while listening. make learning More fun by far.
The only thing that could be improved is that at the beginning of each Chapter it cuts off the first word.
Tanner turns into rrr and Mason sounds like nnn.
A second of two of a pause is better then missing the opening word and guessing who it is talking about.
Otherwise, Fantastic! 👍👍

Raines don’t trust him as far as he can throw him

We find Deputy Marshal Raines and his team scavenging supplies for survivors. Delivering these supplies to an outpost known as The Farm, Raines uncovers some horrific details regarding the food the camp has been serving to the colonists. The leader of the compound, Locke pleads his case to Raines and asks him to join forces in an effort to prevent future problems, train his rag-tag forces, and continue to retrieve supplies as he had been doing. Raines cannot abide what is going on within the compound and must refuse the offer. Locke is way too accommodating and Raines doesn’t trust him as far as he can throw him. Tanner and Samantha are up to their ears in trouble following up on another of Sam’s ideas, this one involving cats and witches. Once that detour is taken care of they continue their mission to recon the local nuclear facility. They rescue the operators that were left to care for the facility and were being held captive by a militia group bent on doing dastardly deeds. Meanwhile Issa heads back to Mount Weather to tell her peers about her pregnancy. Issa believes this news will brighten their outlook and bring hope back into their lives. This has been a great story with lots of action, great characters; well-developed and very likable. The narrator, John Farrell, has done a great job throughout the series. Did I say it was great?
