Death Unexpected review

I really enjoy medical mysteries and this one had me guessing all the way through. The audio version, took me awhile to get into the flow but once I did, I wanted to finish the story! There were some distractions although midway they stopped, so maybe those were caught and corrected. There was the sound of a ticking clock but I (strangely) found it comforting. AND an airplane flyover on page 331? I wonder if VERY soft classical music could serve as a subtle distraction. It was interesting to hear the author read the characters as he saw them. I enjoyed the depth of descriptions, from the settings to the food. I could almost taste that fried chicken!

A fun book to listen to with lots of twists and turns!

Listening to the book in the authors voice is the best because they know where the voice inflection should be. This book was a little difficult in the beginning because there were so many characters but the author does a great job developing them so stick with it! It was descriptive and I felt like I gained some knowledge into the workings of a hospital. The mystery was intriguing and held my attention. There was a twist at the end that I didn’t see coming which meant it was even more enjoyable to listen to! I highly recommend this audio version of Death Unexpected and feel like it’s a book that anyone would enjoy!

Horrible narration. Dry story line

The narration was so bad, I couldn't finish the book. Returned it at chapter 18.
