Publisher's summary

Miss Marple meets Oscar Wilde in this new series of cosy mysteries set in the picturesque Cotswolds village of Bunburry.

In "Death of a Ladies' Man," the fourth Bunburry book, the summer tourist season is in full swing. Among the visitors is Mario Bellini, a gelateria owner with film-star good looks, who is considering opening an ice-cream parlour in Bunburry. But shortly after his arrival, he is found dead - a tragic accident, or something more sinister?

Amateur sleuth Alfie McAlister hopes to uncover the truth with the help of his friends Liz and Marge. But is Liz too distracted by the prospect of financial gain to focus on the task at hand?

Nathaniel Parker, born in 1962, graduated from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and went on to join the Royal Shakespeare Company. His television career began in 1988 when he played Flying Officer 'Flash' Gordon in the LWT mini-series "Piece of Cake". He is also the lead in the BBC series "Inspector Lynley Mysteries", based on the novels by Elizabeth George. Nathaniel Parker has an extensive list of audio books to his credit, ranging from the classics of Charles Dickens and Thomas Hardy to more modern writings and children's books.

Death of a Ladies Man is very enjoyable.

I found the book fun and enjoyable. It is a joy and easy to listen to. I love the Iscar Wilde qoutes. The narrator does a superb job of differing voices. His women's voices don't come iff as whiney as do.many other male narrators do. I will share this author and narrator with my friends.

These are such fun!

Excellent narrator. Light mysteries with a collection of unusual characters for when you can’t fully concentrate on an audio book. Short and priced right.

Delightful

This series is the perfect antidote to everyday stress, as well as bizarre politics in this strange time. Excellent performance, delightful characters and setting. Background grows richer as the books progress. Intelligent, too. I love the Oscar Wilde refrences!

Cute little book

Love the story! It was short and sweet! It`s as much fun figuring out who's going to get killed in the beginning as it is figuring out who will be the killer! lol

Short, sweet and funny

If you are looking for short listen, reminiscent of the old radio dramas, this is a series for you. Can get the whole story in one sitting. Nathaniel Parker does a great job on the narration. You’d swear it was different people reading the different parts. Stories are not too complicated. It’s a fun listen.
