Yet another great book

We see once again, Jack Ryan is called back into government service. But this time there is a carrot at the end of the rope, But as we have come to expect things never go as Jack wants. Recommended

Excellent

Another excellent tale woven by a master. Looking back through the lens of history, I was unprepared for how emotional I was at the climax. I remember thinking on September 11, 2001 that I had seen all of it before. This book brought the emotions of that day back in sharp focus.

Love the book… but the Narrator made it painful

How could the performance have been better?

The book is political, economic and technically based so having some characters sound drunk, like John Wayne, or like they’ve never spoken English aloud before, made getting through this a chore. Some of the characters had more of a drone like it was coming from a computer. There are a lot of characters so the narrator needed to come up with a way to give some individuality to those characters but it just is a bit off-putting when the narrator made someone who was making life/death decisions was an alcoholic. The narrator also stressed words that shouldn’t be stressed in conversation and sometimes the narrator slowed down like my 7th grader reading out loud.

Good ending

Middle is drawn out. Last 5 chapters have all the serious action. Very good ending.

The best of the series!

Best of the series so far. Three narrators voice is captivating and brings to life a web of espionage on the global scale.

Dang great story, weird narrator

It is worth it though. if you get past the first couple chapters, it is much easier to listen to. overall though, the other narrator on previous books is leaps and bounds better than this guy is.

Great story and follow up on Jack Ryan

I'm a big Clancy fan. I had been reading some newer books that were written by others in the Clancy style. I discovered this while looking for a new story. I can see why it won't be a movie. Read it and find out.
