Doctor in Rural Valley

A small town country doctor works almost 24-7 to keep her town and surrounding country save and healthy. Spouse abuse, philandering preacher, PTSD mountain dwellers and gangs of marijuana growers make up just a few of the problems. Then she’s confronted by two men late at night in her clinic. One of them needs a bullet removed and the other is armed. Quirky characters and country life in rural poverty communities. Great performance and story. Recommend.

Great Characters, great story. Robyn Carr never disappoints. I can't wait for the next book.

DEEP IN THE VALLEY

Robyn Carr is an excellent author and knows how to tell a story and keep the interest going. I love everything I have ever read or listened to that is written by Ms Carr. Looking forward to the next in the series to find out more about Grace Valley.

Very Sweet

I’ve listened to several Robyn Carr series, starting with Virgin River. I never listened to Grace Valley and decided to “go back in time.” This first in the series was very enjoyable and sweet. Of course Therese Plummer was perfect as narrator. Her range of voices is quite impressive. I recommend this book and plan to listen to the other two in the series.

An engrossing and entertaining read

Whenever I want a guaranteed feel-good read, Robyn Carr's books are on my list. This first book in the Grace Valley series does not disappoint -- full of real people with real issues (emphasis in this book on sexual harassment and domestic violence). The town is full of people with caring and compassion and "good neighborliness" that is challenged by the above issues. Overall, a completely heartwarming story. As an aside, the above issues do not take over the story but have an underlying theme woven throughout and reality-based reactions.

Nice story

This story is similar in genre to Virgin River
It was a pleasant listening experience. One would wish our small towns or communities were like Grace Valley; it was a nice break from real life, guns,and politics.

Can’t wait to listen to the next book in this series. Love Therese Plummer narration too!
