Suspense Story

The story is so intense and full of suspense. The author- E.M.G. Wixley, put the storyline in a gradual phasing/development so that the readers will be fully engrossed in the suspense and thrill scenes.
The book's overall theme reflects the day-to-day life experiences of people in the family and community. One particular character I like most is Angelica. She was portrayed as a woman/mother with solid determination and the goal that her son will get back to normality.
The thrill and suspense were highlighted by how the narrator projected his voice coupled with well-chosen backgrounds. Very well narrated by Nigel Peever. I highly recommend this book.
I write this honest review in exchange for the complimentary audiobook I received. Thanks.

But that's not all; the eerie music that accompanies the story adds an extra layer of atmosphere that lingers long after you've finished listening.

Nigel Peever's narration is nothing short of extraordinary. He has a gift for bringing characters to life, infusing each one with unique voices and personalities. His skillful delivery captures the essence of the story, making you feel as though you're right there alongside the characters, witnessing their trials and tribulations. Peever's ability to convey emotions, whether it's the desperation of a character in a dark moment or the determination of another, is nothing less than masterful.

What sets Peever apart is his perfect alignment with the Witchfinder Series. His narration is a seamless fit, and it's clear that he understands the nuances and subtleties of Wixley's world. His pacing is impeccable, and he knows precisely when to ratchet up the tension or offer a moment of respite. Peever's narration is, in a word, immersive.

Now, let's delve into the captivating world of Devil's Cross: Witchfinder Series, Volume 3. This installment takes us on a dark and twisted journey through the lives of its complex characters, each dealing with their own demons. Angelica, the protagonist, is a woman driven by an unwavering determination to find her birth mother. Her son, Charlie, is battling addiction, a struggle that is portrayed with raw and unflinching honesty.

Kane, another key character, is fighting his own battle to stay sober and protect those he loves. Poppy, his unwavering companion, is also wrestling with her inner demons. As these characters are drawn into a world of darkness and malevolence, their bonds are tested, and their lives are forever changed.

The genius of E.M.G. Wixley shines through in the way she meticulously builds her characters and crafts unexpected plot twists. The cast of characters is diverse, including some who are utterly despicable, adding layers of complexity to the story. As you progress through the audiobook, you'll find yourself continually surprised by the unpredictable turns the narrative takes.

Angelica, in particular, emerges as a standout character, embodying the spirit of a determined mother who will stop at nothing to help her son find his way back to a life of normalcy. Her journey is both heartfelt and inspiring, showcasing her unwavering love for her child and her understanding that sometimes letting go is the greatest act of love.

The story revolves around Angelica, Max, Charlie, and Kane, each of whom is thrust into a dark, demonic world with their own baggage of loss, addiction, and abandonment. As they grapple with the forces of darkness that threaten to consume them, you'll be left wondering if they will succumb to the devils that haunt their lives.

Max, the hypnotist, is a character who may initially come off as peculiar, but he quickly becomes one of the most intriguing aspects of the book. His enigmatic presence, coupled with his feline companion, adds an extra layer of mystery to the narrative.

The cast of characters is further enriched by the inclusion of Saffron, Scarlet, Poppy, Kane, Amber, and others. Each character brings their unique struggles and depth to the story, contributing to the rich tapestry of Devil's Cross: Witchfinder Series, Volume 3.

One of the book's most compelling aspects is its portrayal of addiction, particularly through Charlie's character. The vivid depiction of his withdrawal and the intensity of his emotions serve as a powerful exploration of the inner turmoil faced by addicts. Angelica's journey to support her son while recognizing the need to let him find his own strength is a testament to the author's skill in portraying complex, relatable characters.

In conclusion, Devil's Cross: Witchfinder Series, Volume 3 is a mesmerizing audiobook experience that seamlessly blends exceptional storytelling by E.M.G. Wixley with Nigel Peever's impeccable narration. The eerie music that pervades the tale adds an extra layer of intrigue and suspense, making this audiobook an absolute must-listen. With its unforgettable characters and unexpected twists, it's no surprise that this series has the potential to continue its gripping narrative or even spawn a captivating spin-off. Dive into this dark and compelling world; you won't be able to turn it off.

Good Book!

i liked this book but it was a little bit hard to follow at some points, it was a great story but between this book and the previous there were alot of characters to follow and alot happening so following along often took a bit of rewinding. It doesnt detract from the overall book much however. The narration was better then the previous installment but it utilized an errie music that made my stomach turn, not that it didnt add layers to the story but some people maybe turned off to those types of effects. Overall if youve been a fan of the series you wont be disappointed by this installment!

This just keeps getting better. Amazing.

Loved the first two books and was excited for the third. It did not dissapoint. The tale just keeps getting more and more interesting. E.M.G has done another amazing job with this third book. I am hoping for a fourth asap. There was no lull and it always kept me wanting more and wondering what would happen. One of my favorite series by far.

Great Series!

I always enjoy a good thriller and this is entire series is nonstop intrigue and suspense. There was many points I didn't know who was good or bad or even who I Iiked. And the creepy doll thing was eerie from book 1 and I loved it.
There's a lot of players and characters some who are completely despicable. EMG Wixley does a fantastic job building the characters and plot twists. I didn't expect the end and I see the possibility of another in the future or even a spin-off series.
Nigel Peever didn't disappoint either; the voices and sound effects work very effectively to add intensity to the story!

A little confusing but interesting tale

Well this last one, redeemed the second one a little, was less over the place for me.

After getting used to Nigel voice it's not that bad, that helped a lot in my case.

One thing I absolutely love was the sound effects, those captivated me everytime, specially the crows it was fun.

For me this one was pretty interesting, a little weird yes but what reality isn't.

Sometimes I found it a little complicated the plot but the other times was pretty easy to follow.

The characters as usual complex and a little confusing but very human like in their decisions.
