About this listen

Never mix business and pleasure. That's what a smart business owner would do. Apparently, I'm not that bright.

Desperate to get my failing web design firm off the ground, I sent a proposal to Gabriel, a rising rock star in the indie scene. He flat out told me that my design sucked. Luckily, he's willing to give me a second chance.

But he's requiring me to do some unconventional things to get a better grasp of what he and his band are about. Go to a rock festival. Spend more time with him. I'll do anything to land this job.

Everyone knows that rock stars don't do relationships, so I don't put much thought into what happens between us. But as Gabriel's fame grows, so does his interest in me. Can a lowly web designer and a rising star really be happy together, or will the media rip us apart?

What a hot rock audio

I like Sky audios. This is my 6 audio. I find Skyhasca wicked sense of humour , drama and life experience. This is a fun story about life experience , hope and truly knowing what you want .
Hero is Gabriel. Heroine is Abby

Abby feels trapped in her job. Abby is looking for an opening so she can spread her wings work wise so she can fulfil her dreams. There is only one problem, Abby hardly has any experience where she will land next

Gabriel is a songwriter for an up,and coming Rock band. He knows the band can hit it big time with the timing. The next step is via internet will show their name and samples of their song to the public. Gabriel doesn’t know how Abby got hired and how she will help , sincevAbby doesn’t know much about marketing Grab it and see will the band take off

Riley was good as a narrator. The voice was strong clear and steady

Brisk pace

Not really a fan of this book. The topic didn't interest me, but the book was so short it didn't overstay it's welcome. Not a fan of the plot but the author has a nice unique writing style.

Let's Rock

What's not to love about a Rock Star? Rock Stars are people too. Gabriel is a down to earth lovable rocker. Fun, charming and interesting. You can't go wrong. Riley Raye is a good narrator, think she could have given more emotion. Her voice is very pleasing. I received this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

A Hot Quick Listen!!

This is a very hot and fun listen! I love Sky Corgan and she doesn't disappoint with this one! It's a short story but doesn't feel rushed. The writing is well done and the characters are wonderful. The narration could've been a bit better, the voices with a bit more emotion. Riley Raye did a good job bringing the story to life. All in all, a wonderfully hot and quick listen!

Unlikely Couple!

A gamer and a rock star, who would have thought? I love Sky Corgan, and each novella she writes is always full of fun and heat. This one is especially good, the premise is of an up and coming rock star falls for his web designer. Gabriel is the lead singer for the Flaming Arrows and gives Abby a chance to design their web page. Not a fan of rock, she is at a disadvantage, but when taken to a show things begin to fall into place. Not just for the web page either. What made this book engaging for me was the uncertainty of Gabriel. Was he only in this for the fun of it? Did he have a girl in every city? While as a listener, we want to believe he is true and falling for Abby, but he is a rock star, and the way Corgan writes this, we just aren't sure. She keep us guessing! I also love that Abby is a competent gamer. Love that she competes and has a hobby not normally associated with girls, it makes this woman a little different from the norm. Riley Raye narrates the story well, giving the characters personality and good voices making this an entertaining novella.

A good short listen!

I've read several of Sky Corgan's books. This is my first to listen to from her. Normally the books I listen to are 8+ hours. This one being under 3 hrs made it a quick listen. But it was a really good listen. I enjoyed the storyline and characters. The story played out really well for such a short story. This is probably my favorite book by Sky Corgan so far.

Riley Raye did a wonderful job. Her guy voice isn't quite there, but I got use to it fairly quick.

Great Read

Dirty Rock Star was a great read by Sky Corgan. Abby knows that she should not mix business and pleasure. She is desperate to get her failing web design firm off the ground and sends a proposal to Gabriel. He is a rising rock star in the indie scene. He told her that her design sucked but he is willing to give her a second chance. But he requires her to go to a rock festival and spend more time with him. She will do anything to get this job. They grow close and never thought it was going to be possible. I enjoyed reading this book and can't wait to read more by the author.

Fun. Satisfying. Great Characters.

A quick sweet listen about Gabriel, an up and coming rocker and Abby, a gamer and web site designer who meet under professional circumstances and develop from there.
Quickies like this don’t allow for backgrounds on the characters and accepting that, they are still likable and developed enough for story understanding. It flowed. It was an easy listen as Riley Ray narrated it.
I was gifted this copy for an honest review.
👍🏻one Thumb and some applause. 👏🏻

Opposites Attract

This is a romantic story involving Gabriel, the lead singer in an Indie band, and Abby, a nerdy gamer struggling to maintain a web design business.

Although Gabriel’s band is popular, he wants to increase his fan base-so he’s looking for a web designer to help promote the band. Gabriel hires Abby to design his band’s website.

At a rock festival, Gabriel makes a move on Abby-and Abby accepts. The two of them proceed to have hot sex! They begin a relationship, but Abby doesn’t know where she stands with Gabriel. Is he just using her for sex? Is Abby just one of his many conquests? For most of the book, Abby (and listeners) can never be certain!

The author does good job developing the characters in the story, making them believable. The writing helps to paint a vivid picture in the minds of listeners. The narrator has a nice voice and her performance is good. Overall, it’s a nice story.

I was provided this audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator in exchange for an unbiased review.
