Publisher's summary

The House is in control. The House always wins. The House has rolled out the red carpet to welcome you home.

Grant looks forward to the vast megalopolis that is the District of March. He’s finally got a real companion - not just a voice in his head pretending to kill him over and again - and Suki’s perspective is invaluable. She’s a Noble, a warrior, and a noble warrior. With two months of intense physical training under his much-tightened belt, Lord January is ready to face whatever his next challenge might be.

Dokeshi March has decided that the District needs to be fun - and what’s more fun than games of chance? More games of chance! So many, in fact, that even purchasing basic needs is a gamble. Even so, no one complains, and why would they? That would mean they thought the game wasn’t fun! That it wasn’t fair! That line of thinking would set them at odds with Dokeshi March.

Now, there’s a bet no one would be willing to take.

Still Great!

I'm a little worried about the pacing but I'm loving it so far! 9 more months to go!

A sure win for me

Buying this book is no gamble, Dakota continues to flex his kingly writing prowess. Pairing it with the narration of Travis as always is an amazing combination.
If you enjoyed the previous two then this one doesn’t disappoint, Grant continues his march through the Monthly lands this time accompanied by the former lady February to a land where everywhere is a gamble and the house always wins

Another wonderful story!

Theses books have become my new favorite type of fantasy! It’s a slow burn transformation/ cultivation novel that has deeper meaning that reflects our own world and lives. If you think I am being too crazy or deep then I don’t think this book is for you.

Don’t get me wrong this was hilarious and fun yet this book went darker than the others. This book touched and focused on the mental issues our MC has faced and will face in the future. What kind of person he is going to be. I did very much enjoy the relationship and conflicts that came up between our MC and his betrothed.

Again the author is very talented yet I am reading these books till the end because of the lessons I am learning.

Grant Marching Onwards too April

If you're listening to this one, then you're on this journey all the way to the end.

Eagerly awaiting April's extravaganza, the epilogue did just enough to build the hype.

I'm amazed that Dakota managed to make TBC work so seamlessly, and excited by the prospect it has opened up this saga too all sorts of systems, styles and genres.

Travis Baldree is my number one go too for movie in the mind and here he delivers gold again.

This series is FUN!

Honestly, it's such a cool version of a cultivation with a tower-like progression. I've thoroughly enjoyed this series and can't wait for the next one to drop.

Great story so far

We need more in this series because it’s something different from dungeon born but still similar in good ways

1 issue

Great book and excitedly awaiting the next one. However, I absolutely detested the reading of the full menu after the 5th time. It ruined the immersion and pace of the story. Just say, "He picked this" and let's move on. You could imply that it's to make the reader hate the system as much as the character, to which I would agree for the first 4-5. Afterwards, it's simply annoying and unnecessary. That is my only gripe.

ONE PUNCH!

I love when authors drop references to other book series or animes i enjoy. Some times they even drop references to their other series based in the same universe. Those are great :D...

But my favorite reference in this book is the one to Saitama's training plan. See if you can find it too :P
