Donald J Trump is revealed through this very thorough this frankly given and unvarnished analysis and assessment.

Very Fair Portrayal of President Trump

This was an extremely well written book that portrayed President Trump very fairly. It also eloquently pointed out how the media has presented a biased anti-Trump message while highlighting Trump’s successes and failures. I highly recommend this book for anyone who has an open mind to look at the President in a positive light.

listened on audible. fascinating. probably will never be read by Trump non-supporters and that's unfortunate.

Balanced and intelligent

Conrad Black is a very intelligent writer, and I learned a lot listening to this book. He said, "Benjamin Franklin's role in persuading Britain to expel France from Canada and fifteen years later in persuading France to help expel Britain from America was the ultimate demonstration of the art of the deal... In international relations, Richard Nixon was a chess player and Ronald Reagan a poker player, and both were very successful. Trump seems more of a pool shark, but it seems likely he will do well too." This book is well worth the time to help understand the man most demonized by the left since George W. Bush, or George H.W. Bush, or Ronald Reagan, or Richard Nixon... I guess they always demonize any Republican president, don't they.

Great Review of Trump

Such a good look into Trump's life before, during, and after election. It seems there will need to be a part 2 follow-up for the last segment of his astonishing life!

Great Book!

I really enjoyed this book, it was interesting and informative and written in a very fair manner.

Clear eyed biography.

Although the author is a friend and (clearly) an admirer of Trump's, he relates a clear eyed vision of the man including his occasionally tenuous relationship with the absolute truth and his penchant for what Black calls "truthful hyperbole." Still, a great deal of what the general public "knows" about Trump is actually just the product of the media's unrelenting assault on his character and efforts to undermine his presidency at any cost. Trump is a true American icon and likely to go down in history as one of our boldest and most effective presidents.

I listened to thia audiobook from beginning to end. For people who have open mind of the Pres, this is an accurate book about him. For the Trump hater, they will not like this book.

A good overview of Trump’s ascent to president

I much appreciated Black’s overview and insights into Trump. Victor D. Hanson gives a good intro in the foreword, which may be available through Google.
