Publisher's summary

Detect, analyze, decode, and predict the truth in people’s body language, emotions, thoughts, intentions and behaviors with this guide book.

Do you have an interest in learning how to truly evaluate and understand people quickly?

Do you want to develop the skills to translate the micro expressions, body language and human psychology?

Do you want to become an expert in your own body language and be able to interpret the body language of others like a book?

In spite of the fact that nonverbal communication (NVC) accounts for more than 60 percent of our overall communication and, according to some estimates, as much as 93 percent of it, we are never really taught the significance of body language.

We are also never taught how to distinguish between individuals who are attempting to control us through Dark Psychology and persuasion and those who legitimately have our best interests in mind. This is something that we are not taught in school.

To my relief, that is precisely what this book intends to provide for its listeners.

In this book, I will walk you through the step-by-step process of how to learn Body Language and become an effortless people analyzer.

Here’s a tiny preview of what’s inside..

  • Mastering Speech Pattern: Discover the techniques used by public speakers and marketers to sway audiences by mastering their message delivery.
  • Types of Liars: To acquire greater understanding when assessing people, let's look at and examine each group.
  • The Body, Face, and Clusters: There are many different techniques we may employ to read facial expressions and body language.
  • Observation Skills: We may have to judge someone's character quickly—in a couple of minutes or even seconds.

Learn people analysis, body language, and defense tactics to avoid being a victim of today's pervasive mind control techniques.

Really Helpful Resources!

Nowadays there are a lot of scammers and it is hard to tell if they are telling the truth or lying especially online. It is challenging to read in person already, it is even harder to read them on a screen. This book not only teaches you how to read people in person but also digitally which really impressive to me. I am really glad I found this book. This book provides a lot of information including how to read through body language, and facial emotions, how to use observation skills, and how to imply thoughts in an email, text, or video chat. I think it is really helpful because you can find ways to protect yourself from being scammed.

With more knowledge of how to read people, the less scammed we get. Plus we can be able to connect with people on a more personal and sympathetic level and better connection.

Riveting and Really Gets You Thinking

I found this book so interesting! I am going to start implementing what I've learned here. I think I've already got my family's "tells" but I'm really going to watch for them now! The section on the different types of liars had me wondering how many of these types of people I already know.

Revolutionized My Approach to Teaching

This audiobook has revolutionized my approach as an alternative education teacher working with students who have given up on learning. The techniques for interpreting body language and emotions have allowed me to understand my students more profoundly. It’s incredible how accurately I can gauge their feelings and intentions, leading to more effective and personalized feedback. For instance, I recently noticed a student's subtle shift in posture, indicating discomfort during a lesson. By addressing it promptly, I helped re-engage them in the material. This guide is essential for educators looking to connect with and support their students better. Have you ever changed your teaching strategy based on a student's body language? This audiobook will show you how.

I wish there were more than 5 Starts available!!!

What an interesting book..... and SO comprehensive. I tried to pick out 1 or 2 chapters I liked best, but just too hard to narrow down. This is also an extremely relevant topic in today's world. So, here are my favorite chapters in book order: 2: speech patterns, 5: understand yourself, 8: Observation skills, 9: lying in digital age. As I started to put these new ideas and skills into practice, I was overwhelmed by the amount of lying going on at work and elsewhere. Everybody should read/listen, especially in this moment in history. Wake up people, you are being lied to. This book will give you the skills to see reality more clearly.

This book is awesome!

Perfect in length, the narration sounds great, I was intrigued by the cover so I took a shot. I was not disappointed. Whether in the board room with co-workers, or in the play room with my 4 kids, this is a very practical & easy to understand “human interaction” book that I will use for years to come. My kids are in trouble, daddy has new ninja detection skills of their NVC, lookout truth, here we come! Thank you for making this book John S. Bauman, your insight here was perfect.

Highly insightful book!

I loved this book and listened to it twice. I appreciated the author's straightforward approach toward detecting when someone is lying to you. Detecting some lies may be overtly obvious, but it was good to learn that discernment is a skill developed over time. The narration was clear and easy to understand. I enjoyed learning about the characteristics of lying across different personality types. This is a interesting read. Highly recommend.

Great choice in narration style

Great choice in narration style, it compliments the subject matter. A few of the topics include reasons for, to personality types, to body language; it touches a lot of the aspects of lying.
Now the challenge is to remain present while observing and processing all these signals!

Don't Lie To Me is an Awesome Book.

How wonderful to know or almost know for certain that someone is lying to you. Body language is the art of providing you the answer to whether someone is lying to you. It is not foolproof, however, it is better than just guessing. Some of the "tell's" are obvious but most are not. You would have to know where to look at the person, and what behavior is a giveaway. Lack of eye contact is the 1st place to start. Even on the phone, you can "feel" if someone is being genuine or lying to you. Researchers have shown that a trained person can tell if the speaker is smiling or not which is a sign that it is an honest conversation. What is the underlying feeling you have when speaking to someone? Read between the lines, use critical thinking. How people answer a question is just as important as what words are being used. Do you feel you are being misled by omission? You probably are. Knowing someone is lying to you is valuable in business as well as personal relationships.

Detective Lady

This topic might seem like something taboo to talk about especially if you’re in a relationship or married but it’s so necessary. I also used to tactics presented in this book on my teenage son to figure out if and when he was lying to me. It is an essential part of my library now, I find myself going back to the book when I need to go back to a certain principle if I’m in a situation where I need to figure someone out. Such a great book and needed if you’re parent or in a relationship or married.
