Publisher's summary

A dragon shifter series set in the same world as the bestselling Bride Hunt books

War is coming! The dragons must prepare, so they call in the services of a security company that sends in one of their salespeople.

This is a huge opportunity for Amy. It is a sure-fire way to prove her worth to her company. Her only directive is to get the client to sign on the bottom line, or she’s potentially out of a job. Good thing she’s up for the challenge.

Vortex is a newly appointed Overlord. His first task is to beef up security at the lair. It's a job he takes seriously. From the word go, the attraction between Amy and Vortex is off the charts. It's a pity they can't act on their desires. There is simply too much at stake.

Then throw in some banter, a parrot named Jake and a big, fat white lie...

No cheating! Contains mature themes/language.

The goblins leaders are intersex and "ugly"

They're described as nicer looking orcs.
I wish people would stop with the orc hate. They aren't all hideous and/or ugly. Some of them are extremely attractive especially if green and ripped are your thing.

The Goblin society is described as the strongest of their masculine leaning androgenus race having both reproductive organs and are considered the "females" of the race. I can not stress this enough they are describe as looking no different from the males of the race unless they are interested in breeding. They are intersex.

It feels like the author tried to make me dislike the Goblin leader's second in command, but I didn't. Especially not when the goblin Is second in command had a point. The dragons are so clueless and rude when it comes to The goblins as a species that when they
find out about the Goblins anatomy they sit around talking about how ikea it is. As a trans-man my body is often remarked on, even when I ask people to stop or go out of my way to try and hide my body, and it's hardly ever in a kind way. The remarks are always either lecturous or how disgusted others are by my body.... so yeah the scene of the Dragon royalty and the overlords remarking on the goblins anatomy was... unpleasant.

The rest of the story is good though, and I love the series.
