not so cheesy
been a fan of all the dune shows they have put out. although I never really read the books. after seeing the brand new movie in the theater..it really inspired me to go ahead and read the books.
performance Was great sometimes they had different voices playing the characters, sometime one guy was reading for all characters .
porcelain a lot more from the books than you do from the show. I know this was written a long time ago and it's probably not the way it would be right now but I don't find it cheesy and lacking like I thought I did .. it's got depth.
can't wait to finish listening to the rest and see just what it's about not what'was just put in the shows

Illuminating source for SF novels

The story is showing it’s age
A classic story with a great ensemble performance, but it is beginning to show its age in relation to the current cultural zeitgeist. Still has some wonderful nuggets though and is engaging through the majority of the story.

Yup, it's a winner.
It served to start slow, but once I got my bearings, it was a great ride. I can't wait to see how the rest of the series turns out.
