For Lance, the incursion of monsters and a magical shop isn't as much of an apocalypse as an inconvenience.

Coming back from archery practice, Lance and his club are in the right place and right time to deal some mayhem for the spawning monsters. But just killing them as they come out of the portals isn't enough.

They're going to have to go in and finish the job.

Dungeon Incursions is a slow-moving apocalypse, where the system doesn't lead to societal collapse but changes in civilization itself. Not solo OP MC but team-based dynamics. Fans of post-apocalyptic and apocalyptic LitRPG fiction like Primal Hunter and Defiance of the Fall will be thrilled!

This includes books 1 through 5 of Dungeon Incursions.

What the hell happened at the end? The last book was terrible and short. it's like the author just gave up. there were changes between tense and the writing seemed like someone else tried to do it.

OK..until the end

The MC rune this litrpg, For one he wants to be a murder Hobo but lacks the brains or power to be one. in book 5 he had options but instead of using his head he chooses to attack the non-aggressive lizardmen who was guarding the portal. they could have joined the attacking side by trying to talk to the lizards and been able to beat the portal without all the stupid crap in-between. But no they wanna try killing everything without a real plan or even trying not to go the Murder Hobo root. MC throughout the books always failed to come up with even a half good plan, yet the others fallow his decisions like the blind without a single opinion of their own. This is the second time in my life I find myself rooting for the monster to kill the mc. Just to get rid of the main issue of the story.

great world but the MC is dumb as a box of rocks

The premise is intriguing and the world building is fun. Tried and true but system.

Cringy Canadian author that hates on guns. Also tried to hate on the USA but just comes off as jealous.

Reddit tier character interactions. Most likely gets pegged by his wife just before she goes off to be railed by her bf.

Ruined what could otherwise be a fun take on the genre.

Cringy dialogue

Just a giant rush of almost a story. No plot development, character development, just chaos. I could write more but it does not deserve it.

Stopped at chapter 13, "that ability sucks" poetic

overall the whole book felt lazy. there was no character development which made the characters easy to forget. each book was only maybe 2 hours long. there was zero world building, the story isn't captivating at all, the characters fight and rest then fight then rest rinse and repeat. the store where they had to buy their powers felt lazy like the author didn't want to take the time to build the powers and abilities the characters were using. the narrator had a nice voice but kinda monotone. I stopped listening at the second book. he who fights with monsters is 1000x times better. I've listened to all 12 books 4 times.

worst litrpg I've ever heard

there's no real story to any of these books. the entire series makes up maybe one book and unfortunately is very bland

the best thing is the narrator.
