Fire mænd og en kvinde rejser til Kenya for at redde verden fra menneskets dårskab. De fem enkeltpersoner er: tandlægen Vidkun, den ressourcestærke bøsse og zoolog Sperber, serieromanforfatteren Hektor Gråbæk, vellidt af både mennesker og dyr, filmklipperen Såkaldte Bob, som fornemmer en stærk dragning mod Afrika og Lise Løvenskiold, politiefterforsker og single, som holder af Leopard-nips og fugle.
Alle fem lever gennemregulerede og tilsyneladende lykkelige liv - men alligevel synes de hver især at være kommet til et slags vendepunkt i livet, hvor de ikke er i stand til at løse de udfordringer de står overfor på egen hånd. De vil væk fra det beskyttede liv i Norge, og alle fem bærer de på en mere eller mindre eksplicit længsel efter at redde dyrene.
Efter et foredrag om dyreetik falder de fem enkeltpersoner i snak om hvordan vores levemåde undergraver andre arters muligheder for overlevelse. Sammen indleder de en fælles radikaliseringsproces og udtænker en snedig plan om, ved hjælp af de fem store, ikoniske dyr, bøffel, løve, leopard, næsehorn og elefant, at gennemføre en happening, som skal henlede opmærksomheden på hvordan vi mennesker fucker med flora og fauna. Derefter går turen til Afrika for at redde verden – for at gøre en forskel.
