Story
Based on an acclaimed professor's legendary strategy course at Harvard Business School, The Strategist offers a radically new perspective on a leader's most vital role. "Are you a strategist?" That's the first question Cynthia Montgomery asks the business owners and senior executives from all over the world who participate in her highly regarded executive education course. It's not a question they anticipate, but by the time the program ends, they cannot imagine leading their companies to success without being - and living the role of - a strategist.

"Work On Your Business not In Your Business"
Would you listen to E-Myth Mastery again? Why?
Yes, I would listen to E-Myth Mastery again because it has many steps needed for mastery that you need to practice and implement.
What did you like best about this story?
I enjoyed Michael Gerber's truthful sharing of how he came to develop the E-Myth and the use of the story of Sarah was a great example.
What does Michael E. Gerber bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Listening to Michael's passion, concern and honesty about how to become a "world class" business" is inspiring to me.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I listen to books first all the way through and then go back and implement the exercises or points of importance for me.
Any additional comments?
I recommend this book and the entire E-Myth series for all start up business as well as established businesses seeking to be "world class"

A Step Back from E-Myth Revisited
It would have been better to leave Sarah in E-Myth Revisited, and an editor should have pressed Mr. Gerber to reconsider some of his repetitive writing style. I lost the message in the uncomfortable intimacy and flirtatiousness of the dialogue. Sarah was all too helpless and worshipful in the made up back and forth in their meetings. It made me roll my eyes often and distracted me from what would have probably been helpful advice. The business advice became too amorphous too. Mr. Gerber's homework did not translate to the audiobook, and so i found it much less helpful.

Inspiring motivation
I listened this book twice. First time when I was curious what the story is, how it develops, the solutions that were given for the business challenges that were presented and lastly, what will be the final outcome.
The second time I listened to this book, I took notes of the challenges that Michael gave to Sara to think about and come with answers. Sometimes I felt like Sara. Trying to work my business. The author provides great insight into the roll of the entrepreneur. Indeed, he is not ashamed to speak about his own failures and provide a great examples what drives the business and how to grow small business to a worldwide business. It is a great book also for non business owners, for instance I would recommend it to project managers, project leaders or product owners, to better understand the business, customers and clients.
I also liked how he explained the difference to work in your business or on your business. He put a lot of details how to manage the business for an entrepreneur not only to own the company but be a great leader. Not only to understand the customers and clients but also employees.
He talks about marketing strategies, what is the difference between customer and client. He presents ideas what should be done for the customer to become a client, how to maintain client.
He talks about passion as one of the driving "tools" to grow a business.
I also read the other book The eMyth Revisited, which I liked a lot. I was afraid that it may repeat, which may have sometimes but it was good reminder and other than that it took another stream. Also I would recommend not to give up after few first chapters, as they really may lead to a conclusion that this book repeats what was said in previous book.
In parallel of what Micheal is saying, there is a Sara story. The reader can apply Sarah's story to her/his situation.
There are the seven essential disciplines for building a world-class company: Leadership, Marketing, Money, Management, Lead Conversion, Lead Generation, Client Fulfilment. Each of this discipline is very thoroughly discussed with Sara a the exercise for each chapter.
The only thing that I would change to have the pdf available in audible book story together with the purchased book.

If you Own a Small Business - Listen to This Book!
The other reviews of this book on Audible.com are less than flattering. I own a small business and have started several, and this book BLEW ME AWAY! It is extremely VALUABLE. Yes Michael Gerber gets a little touchy-feely at times but you have to apply Sarah's story to your own circumstance. I have a Masters Degree in Engineering and Business and am very logical and analytical, that is why Gerber's book makes so much sense. Just look around at businesses in your area. How many of them have been in business for 15 years? How many are family owned for 25 years? How many of those have grown beyond mom-and-pop size? My observation is "Not Many". All those Mom-and-Pops have created 80-hr-a-week jobs for their owners and something to pass on to their kids, but little more. Gerber gives you the insight to use the lessons of the McDonalds and IBM's of the world to re-fuel your passion and to BUILD YOUR business, not just work in it.
If you are a "company guy" or an In-trepreneur (works the system inside the company), then go listen to Jack Welsh or Lou Gerstner's books. If you are an Entrepreneur, then Gerber's E-Myth or E-Myth Revisited is a MUST Listen.
I've listened to it twice, and a third listen is in the queue soon!
Enjoy!
