About this listen

Magic or mutation?

Jamie Bonifacio lives between two worlds; the world of the terrestrial and the world of the aquatic.

Whether the result of being cursed at birth by a Santeria Priestess, or the result of a radical genetic mutation, Jamie possesses the preternatural ability to dive to incredible depths, and stay at those depths for hours.

How many hours? Even Jamie isn't sure.

When, through no fault of his own, Jamie finds himself at odds with the law, he realizes that his only chance to remain free is to take refuge on and under the sea.

Equipped with a 22 foot sailboat, sparse sailing skills, and an audacity possessed by few, Jamie will take flight toward the ancestral home that lies across the Caribbean Sea.

What Jamie doesn't know is that before him lie 2,000 sea miles of hurricane winds, tortuous tropical sun, castaways and pirates.

I miss dara already

I loved this book. i loved the interaction that jamie and dara had and i would love to hear what happened to simpatico and his men.. Im sure jamie is still looking over his shoulder everyday. My favorite parts were when he swam with the dolphins and he made a quirky remark to liberty.. i cant remember what it was but it made me chuckle out loud. . I am patiently waiting for a second book ( if there will be one ) Thanks you for the opportunity to read this book. ❤❤

Over too soon.

Fun story, it reminded me of peak by Roland Smith. I wish it lasted longer, cannot wait for the next one.

Devin is an awesome writer

I loved the story line and relatability. I would recommend anyone and every age group. My high rating is based on Devins ability to personably engage the reader. I look forward to any other works Devins chooses to put in motion.

What a great story

Jaime is so sweet in this book. Young and innocent but a very disciplined individual he gets trapped by CPS because of his mother and refuses to be locked up. The sailboat is his escape plan but the ICW were getting busted so he goes into the ocean and runs in the drug runners.
Won’t tell anymore but this book just I want to hear the second part I know he can write another book and keep the story going
