About this listen

The road to hell is paved with good intentions. And a pound of flesh.

Magical tracking expert Riley Hollis is on a mission to save five teenagers lost inside a mountain. But nothing is what it seems, and soon Riley finds herself bruised, bloodied, and embroiled in a battle to bring down a sadistic criminal dealing in human souls and the darkest of magic.

Her only hope may be to swallow her pride and ask for help from her not-quite-ex-boyfriend and his notorious brother - Tyet criminal boss, Gregg Touray. Even that may not be enough to protect her. Something has gone very wrong in the trace dimension and in Riley's head.

If she doesn't figure out how to handle the past, the present, the trace, and the bad guys, the road to hell is going to look like a great alternative.

I found myself rolling my eyes

The first book was a little corny but this one is over the top with the mush between Riley and Price. Felt like a teen romance.

The narrator is BORING. Nobody pronounces each word succinctly. And she mispronounces several common (to me, at least) words. I was like, "Wow, that was bad." And not having the written book look at, I can't tell if she's saying "nulls" or "knowls". I'm guessing it is "null" as that is used in other magic based novels.

The adventure and magic in the story was interesting with many hints of more to come. Just wish the main characters would grow up!

Love the story BUT

The plot is very good well paced. But the romance is written for 12 year olds not the sex the tone from her boyfriend is terrible almost enough to stop me reading but the story is very good -I hope this part improves

Wishy Washy

This story overall has potential but was really immature. If you like your sex scene to last the whole chapter then this book is for you. Personally I prefer the action to be the primary plot point and the romance to be more realistic.

Couldn’t take the narrator’s voice for one more second!

The extreme enunciation was distracting and incredibly annoying. Had to stop the book and return it! Ugh!!
