Publisher's summary

The last thing Holly Harris expected was to wind up 19, knocked up, and all alone. When Coop left to pursue his dreams of becoming a rock god, he left a tiny piece of him behind.

Holly wishes he hadn't.

Jackson wishes he hadn't.

Jackson Rowe tried filling the void his family left by drinking, screwing around, and leaving a string of heartbroken women in his wake. Moving back to Sugartown should have been easy, but he hadn't counted on the fact his sometimes attraction to Holly would still be alive and kicking - and he sure as hell hadn't counted on her being pregnant with another man's baby.

They drive one another crazy, and yet they can't stay away.

When old flames resurface and even older wounds are torn open, can two people so similar make it work? Or will their stubbornness only drive them further apart?

Content warning: Intended for a mature 18+ audience. Contains angst, a crap-tonne of profanity, short-tempered Australian wildlife, and some very pregnant sex.

Jack and Holly

Jack and Holly had a brief affair when she was 16 and he was 22. Jack was visiting Sugartown and his cousin Anna put Holly in charge of keeping him out of trouble. When he left to go home she never thought she'd ever see him again.
Six years later he comes back to Sugartown to be close to family after his mom passed away. Holly has just found out that she is pregnant by her ex Rockstar boyfriend, who left her and when her parents find out disown her and kick her out.
By the time Jack comes to town Anna and Holly have bought a house together. Anna decides to invite Jack to live with them, not knowing about Holly and Jacks past.
Holly and Jack have history together that they can't outrun, pregnancy be damned. But can the return of the baby daddy ruin everything.?
Carmen Jenner has entwined the lives of Anna, Elijah, Holly, Jack, Sammy and Joe throughout the first two books, I can't wait to listen to book three.

A hilarious trainwreck

Holly and Jackson were are the hottest of messes. Their back and forth caused me to get strange looks on the subway from audibly laughing. But after chapters upon chapters of them burying their heads further and further into the sand, I started to get frustrated. Their lack of maturity was glaring at certain parts and it made it difficult to root for them. Their relationship verged on toxic for each other at times. Holly gave up almost everything to keep it. Prioritizing its health over Jackson's ego would have made much more sense. But I digress. It was a fun, messy ride of a book.

Funniest Erotic Story Ever

First, the story was awesome. I thoroughly enjoyed the banter back and forth between our two main characters. The realness of the dialogue is a true talent. Secondly, I'm in love with these narrators. Audible MUST employ these two a thousand more times. Funny, sad, and sexy.

Complete mess

Jackson and Holly are a hot mess and this book is a great read. Only complaint is when she caught him in living room she allowed him to touch her she has always had sass and to allow this showed no respect for herself.

Save your credit!

At least Anna has a few redeeming qualities to make up for her poor life choices & subsequent horrific consequences. But Holly?! She’s nothing but an overthrown, self-indulgent child completely devoid of a moral fiber & almost exclusively ruled by her libido. Her character is pretty much the profile of every trashy girl that gets all the heartbreak she deserves because she only ever thinks of herself and never takes ownership of her failings to try and become a better person. She & Jackson are a match made in Jerry Springer Hell. I’m DEFINITELY returning this overdrawn out piece of Aussie redneck angst and I’d recommend you save your credit!
