Dreaming of a better life

Alexandra Nicole used to think of her life as if she were a princess. Her father remarries after her mother dies and she gets a stepmother who doesn't really help her. When she's old enough, she moves out with her high school boyfriend Jonathan. He treats her terribly and is into dealing drugs. He takes advantage of her at every turn. One night when he doesn't pick her up from work, she meets Cameron. He is totally taken with her but he's had problems in his past. They have a one night stand and Alexandra becomes pregnant. She's not sure who is the father and is considering having an abortion. She asks Cameron to take her to the clinic without telling him about the situation. Cameron figures it out and tells her that he'll take care of her and the baby even without knowing if the baby is his. The story has some drama and danger in it as Jonathan tries to get Alexandra back to sooth his pride. It's an interesting story and a little different from Carmen's other stories that I've listened to but it's enjoyable.

Wow! In a bad way...

This story started really good. However, as the story progressed, the heroine sounded so dumb. She acted tough but she had no backbones to back up her actions. She had the hero stood up for her to her ex. Even she tried to stood up for herself, she sounded even dumber. Why she called her ex and didn’t record his confession? The reader didn't make the story any better. She made the heroine sounded like a nail on the chalk board. I managed to finish the story and the ending was so abrupt if you blink, you might miss it.
