Great Pair

Charles Bosworth (author) and Kevin Pierce (narrator) were the winning pair in my first true crime read. Many books later I continue to appreciate their talents. This is a good book. Occasionally, I had to remind myself that different people grieve in different ways, but that’s always a good reminder.

Another great one

Kevin Pierce is my favorite Male narrator and when he narrates the stories of Charles Bosworth Jr its magical.
Sadly this wasnt my favorite and it may have been the missing element that his other books written with Don Weber have.
All in all heart breaking and great story for true crime fans.

I loved this book and had to listen carefully to keep up with many characters involved. Absolutely love Kevin Pierce's reading and voice. Amazing mothers!

Slow srart

The start doesn't grab you at first, but it does pick up. Once the story is learned it becomes interesting. Two mother's share a tragedy but handle it so different. Together they fight to be heard above a lazy and mismanaged Deputy's office. Perseverance is the lesson learned

Great narrator

Narrator Kevin Pierce was great as always. I found myself losing interest about halfway through but managed to finish it.

Meh

I kept waiting for a sympathetic character. The prosecutors were the only ones. The mothers seemed to do nothing but scream and sob uncontrollably. I get that - their tragedy was beyond hideous. But every time one of them said "if he isn't arrested/tried/convicted I have nothing to live for," I wondered how that made their surviving children feel. Like nothing?

Heartbreaking Story for any Mother

the narrator is always fantastic in conveying a story. I have listened to many of his books that others have offered. In this book, I never felt like the main suspect truly committed the crime. I didn't have enough evidence to convince him from this book. I appreciate how the author gives so much sympathy to the victims families as they deserved it. But suspect information did not seem to quite make sense. the book could have been longer just to convey that information and more background on how this story came to be such a horrific crime and the motive was never quite clear. As a whole, I appreciated the story and have a compelling amount of empathy for the families of both Tyler and Stacy.

Sad, sad story.... Very depressing but well done

Kevin Pearce, in my opinion, could make the reading of the dictionary a 4 star affair and I find myself buying books narrated by both Kevin and Joe Barrett strictly for this reason. The story itself is heart-wrenching and you soooo feel for the victims and their families. Without giving too much away I will say that the book is a roller coaster ride with so many odd angles that it leaves you wondering about truth as it applies to justice.

The story line and twists and turns make this a marvelous book. It is exceedingly well read.
