This book was very eye-opening to me and left me feeling inspired to apply Carla's Pearls in the Workplace. The most impactful chapter I've read was finding a mentor, advisor, and sponsor. The Roadmap to Success

This has to be the best career/self-hekp book I have ever read. To be honest, when U first started, I thought I would not be able to relate. We work in such different fields. But, wow. If only I'd had this book a decade ago. Carla's advice is 70 and specific. it goes way behind the "Go get 'em, girl!" message of other books. Carla is not trying to give you confidence. She's telling you exactly HOW to go get 'em. I see wrong turns I made in my career, but also ways in which I can get ahead and achieve my goals now. The chapter on making your voice heard was so on point. I never realized that silence could give the perception of incompetence. I am working on speaking up more.. I also love that she has "Carla's Pearls" at the end of each chapter to remind you of key takeaways. Great book and well-told by the author.

The book is awesome! Great book to read and do chapter reviews for a mentee/mentor meeting. The recaps at the end of each chapters allows for a quick refresh.
