The Diary is an amazing narrative that chronicles the experiences of a simple, uneducated Polish nun who received a special call shortly before the outbreak of World War II. Our Lord appeared to her and instructed her to spread the message of his Divine Mercy to all, especially in our current age, which is full of so much distress and worldliness. The message of the Divine Mercy is that God loves us all of us. And He wants us to recognize that his mercy is greater than our sins, so that we will call upon him with trust, receive his mercy, and let it flow through us to others.

Interesting head scratcher
This is a thorough and multi sided discussion of a topic for which no one can currently claim to have the authority, experience, or understanding to give a definitive answer. And it is well explored. It seems like particularly good source material for an evening of discussion and libations with a few friends.

Nice historical research, but narration overwrought
Compiling so many thinkers’ conjectures and arguments on the subject, no doubt, was a laborious task. Enduring the narrator’s dramatic interpretation of the attitudes and genders of said thinkers, one may find almost as exhausting.
