Publisher's summary

The “Prey” novels by Pulitzer prize-winning journalist John Sandford consistently make the best seller lists, but they are not for the faint of heart. Featuring Minneapolis Lieutenant Lucas Davenport, these thrillers are raw, graphic, and impossible to put down. In Eyes of Prey, a depressed and unfocused Davenport takes on a macabre case, tracking down a serial killer who maims the eyes of his victims after he has murdered them.

Voice is a bit creepy

The book is excellent. The performance is excellent. But the good and bad characters sound creepy because the voice doesn't change.

Great book

Liked the fact finding and didn’t like all the drug descriptions and why they didn’t investigate it

Interesting Murder Plot(s)

Lucas Davenport is at it again. This time on the edge of depression. Good detective series.

Read it years ago, creepy to hear!

Loved the story and the reader. Going back thru the prey series listening to them. This one was a bit creepy when I read it and the reader makes it even better! 🙌🏼

Classic John Sandford

Would you consider the audio edition of Eyes of Prey to be better than the print version?

I prefer audio, because of my lifestyle.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

The plot kept me interested. Bekker is wicked, cold and crazy. I was surprised Davenport left him alive.

What about Richard Ferrone’s performance did you like?

He is the voice of this series.

just wow,, ending

The entire book was great.
But the way it tied into the ending. wow. Best ending I can remember, and still tied things up.
Seems all the books lately are cliff hangers. This book was beautifully tied up.

Excellent

You can never go wrong with John Sandford and Richard Ferrone (unless you choose an abridged version).

Inner Life of Killer

Any additional comments?

Well done murder mystery - included the inner workings of killer's mind and the fine tuning of his drug life.
