Publisher's summary

Science Officer Queste of the Starcorp ship Orionstar rescues and befriends a roguishly charming slave known as Thak. Thak possesses psychic and telekinetic abilities that enable him to survive on primitive worlds, with their bizarre predatory beasts and exotically lethal environments. Under Queste's tutelage, Thak becomes enlightened from Stone Age knowledge to Space Age awareness of the Coalition of Planets and their sole purpose: To bring peace and protection throughout the galaxy. Now armed with a newfound hope, can Thak convince the Coalition to free his fellow slaves without starting an interplanetary ar?

Thak's escapades are fraught with anti-bullying themes as he develops a philosophy to cherish life with all its endless possibilities and worthwhile goals, to be content with whatever actions you choose to take and to never let your values be stripped away. Fate, Hope and Thak is a sci-fi adventure filled with warmth, wit, and humor among its engaging characters. An enjoyably entertaining and infectious space saga.

Fate, Hope, & Thak

L. Lonardo did an awesome job developing Thak’s character. She made him real. I’d like to meet him along with the brave crew on the Starship. Lots of intrigue, adventure, and good, clean fun.

Star Trek anyone?

To say the characters were borrowed from Star Trek would be an understatement. The rogue-ish captain; the pointy eared logic driven first officer; the southern good’ ole boy doctor; the Scottish head of engineering; the Asian helmsman who fences; the female communications officer, even nurse Chappell secretly in love with the first officer.
Thak was a new and interesting character and the story was entertaining enough; the narration was excellent.
It’s very much like listening to a new episode of the original Star Trek ; if that’s what you are looking for you’ll enjoy this book.
