Every gift has consequences....

Let's get this out of the way up front: I can hear minds. And yes, that's about as much fun as it sounds. As long as I can remember, I've been the loner, the crazy girl who answers words that no one has spoken out loud. It doesn't help that I'm the perennial new kid in town, too; my family moves around so much that I'm constantly learning how to tune out a fresh set of voices.

But then, we move to King, Florida.

It doesn't take me long to realize that this town is different. King was founded by magic and steeped in mystery, and I'd be intrigued if I wasn't worried about surviving.

Ms. Lacusta, the science teacher, leads some weird exclusive club of girls, and she's trying to recruit me. That doesn't sit well with Nell Massler, the ultimate mean girl whose extracurricular activities include blood rituals. And mine is the blood she wants next.

Entangled in a web of first love, quirky and secretive townsfolk, magic and blood spells, I discover the town's secrets aren't just bizarre...they're deadly.

Save Tomorrow is a series of paranormal romances that begins in the small town of King, Florida, winds through the Serendipity and Recipe for Death books, and finally culminates in Age of Aquarius, the inevitable showdown that ties all the characters together in a fight to stop the ultimate evil.

Diary of a Bibliophile Review

I thought this book was an excellent start to a fun YA series. The history of the town is really cool, and I can see how this can feed into many fun plot lines with unique characters. I almost wish more was done with the whole carney thing, but this is just the first book, and I'm sure we will get more of that later.

The love story between Tas & Michael was a little rushed for me, but that might be because I am a little tired of the whole "soulmates" thing. But teens do tend to fall in love quickly, so maybe I'm just being a crotchety old lady. I do have to say that the author did a great job of creating an emotional chemistry, while still keeping to a heat level that is appropriate for a YA audience.

Best of all, the writing of this story was really solid. There is nothing worse that poor editing pulling me out of a story, even in an audio format. That never happened here.

I hope the rest of the series makes it to audio!

Overall, I give FEARLESS...

Narration - 4 1/2 bookmarks

Dream Cast (otherwise known as who I pictured while reading) - Sophie Turner (Tasmyn), Hunter Parrish (Michael), Madalina Diana Ghenea (Ms. Lacusta), Lucy Hale (Nell)

I found this book very interesting. At first I thought that I made a mistake, then I found the mystery.

Let cheesiness begin

So I was a little bored with this story. There wasn't much emotion expressed by the narrator and the instant attraction and the stuff the h & h had me rolling my eyes and laughing several times. eeks

worst book this year

This has been the worst book I've listened to this year. I now have come to the conclusion all kindle unlimited books with audible for 2 dollars are absolute garbage. I suffered through to the ending because I can't read a book half way.
