Fix the narrator

Every holocaust story is important, but I can’t believe the narration passed anyone’s approval.

Choppy

The person they chose to read it takes long awkward pauses in the middle of sentences that don’t require it and totally distract from the stories being told by individual survivors about themselves and those they witnessed. I listened to the entire thing despite this because all Holocaust stories deserve to be heard. The only way you know the book is over besides the counter on the app is the few notes of music at the abrupt end. I felt like these issues really distracted me greatly from the stories. Glad this book was both free and short.

Couldn’t listen anymore!

The story may have been good but the performance was so poor, one will never know.

Terrible.

It just skips and then ends. Very disjointed and I was quite disappointed in the quality

Seriously 😞

Ummm ok I have written reviews for other book and I think this is the only bad review the performance was choppy very, choppy I also listen to kinder transport and that was also choppy but the story so unfinished what happened to the people? Everything is so unfinished! This could be so good but it is so unfinished. The stories that were there had a good beginning and middle but there was no end! Did I miss something? This is not a full story this book just lets you down it’s half written.- Ava a kid P.s I would give the performance one star.

Typical story with sadly poor performance

The poor performance of this book really can’t be overcome by the story. I’m not sure why whoever edited this didn’t fix this issue. It would have been an easy fix.
That being said, the story is a typical Holocaust story: moving, sad, shocking. What sets this one apart is the terrible performance. You can still listen, but be prepared for gaps for page turning.
