About this listen

Diego Garcia. Class bully. Football star. My boyfriend.

I fell hard and fast for the resident bad boy, and he fell just as hard for me, too. We were the perfect couple, until things turned sour. Senior year and we’re both super busy. He has football. I have volleyball. Soon enough, I hear the rumors - Diego’s cheating on me. After everything we’ve been through, I’m devastated. Breaking up with him was the hardest thing I’ve ever done. He doesn’t love me. Besides, only a few more months of school, and then I’m going away to college. And Diego will be permanently out of my life. Until I find out I’m pregnant. And now, we’re forever tied together....

OMGOSH I love this story

OK honesty here. I skipped over this book because I didn’t like his personality in the beginning of the series. I was not proud of him so I knew that after I read Jackson and Eli story that I had to go back and read Diego and Jocelyn story and I’m so glad I did. I freaking love these two together, they were a great pair and I had a lot of confidence going in that they would be. OK here’s more honesty. I really wish that Monica Murphy put part of the story where she actually had the baby and he was there I would love to have heard how he was there for her and about the labor etc. now considering I’m not a writer I don’t know how that goes. Now after reading this one I can honestly say I don’t know which book in the series is my favorite I love Jackson, but my goodness Diego is so much more powerful to me in this book and change so much that I think I’m going to have to say that his story is my favorite. I hope that in some of the rest of the stories coming up that I have not read yet which I guess is now the college series I hope we learn that Kami actually gets what’s coming to her. She was such a piece of work and tried to ruin so many lives. Those that don’t have Audible, I know it’s expensive, but there’s really nothing better than hearing the voices in the characters. It just makes it so much better in my opinion it makes it so much more personable.

This was a good story.
High school sweethearts, football star and volleyball player.
They were in love, but once her focus went onto volleyball games and tournaments and not all her attention on Diego he decided to get attention elsewhere, a cheerleader.
He swore he didn’t cheat but the rumors didn’t help him and Jocelyn (his GF) decides she needed a break. It wasn’t till she found out she was pregnant that things shifted and he backed away from her. But there came a time where he needed to get his life together, school, his home life with his horrible mother and brother and do what was best for him so he could win her back.

I enjoyed this story and how diego was always in love with her but when you’re in high school your mind can be weak and you don’t know what’s best for you. Diego had a horrible brother and not so supportive mother. diego had to work hard to win back Jocelyn and i appreciated her for that and making the choices that was best for her and their baby, even if that was stepping away from diego.
i wish this story had a longer HEA but when it got there it was sweet. he made a great dad and she was a confident strong mom for all she had been through.

Good book in the series

ugh! I wanted to shake these two several times.
narration was good. Even I would have preferred different ones per character in a series.

Just love Diego and Jocelyn

This couple has turned out to be my favorite couple in this series. I truly was so happy to see them grow up throughout the story and come together stronger then ever.

A beautiful Story.

Jocelyn was a bit annoying...🙄

I get Jocelyn & Diego are immature & having a baby, but she annoyed me when she was defensive & pretty much suggested that raising the baby wasn't going to be that difficult. She also annoyed me when she cut Diego off, after forgiving him, and jumping to false conclusions without even communicating with him. Diego was not innocent either. He played games, instead of being honest, he was manipulative & vain. But, then he tried to step up, but Jocelyn refused. I get that it's her body, but he should've been allowed more involvement...she listened to her mother & others who were already bias of their relationship. She appeared self-righteous, constantly criticizing others, especially Diego's mom & family....irritating. Then, all of a sudden she wants to be with him again. I think it's Teddy Hamilton's fault!! He makes Diego sound so freakin likable. 😉

Heart Breaking + I loved it

From previous listens, I was not a Diego fan. Jos is a queen and full of grace throughout. As we see their story unfold, we see Diego become a man worthy of his forever girl. It's tragic, sad, and ultimately beautiful.

A cute wrap up to the older Callahans story

Only Beck the tank left! This was a little spin off as it had no Callaghan’s starring it it. (They were all there! Just not featured characters). This was part 2 of Diego and Jocelyn. These two had to do some fast and hard growing up! They ended up taking a step back and breaking up, deciding to work on themselves to be better humans. Diego realizes what a doüché canoe he had always been to Joc & SHE realized she deserves more.
This book followed them on their journey to see if they could handle being parents, issues with their own parents, college life and being apart…what a roller coaster it was and so real that I loved it!!
As always, Teddy Hamilton delivered a flawless performance as did Sarah McEwan. These two are great narrators and I loved listening while driving. They really captured the spirit and essence of the characters, drowning you right into the story.
All in all, a great ending to the older Callahans and a world that o won’t be leaving anytime soon as they will all live rent free in my head! Cheers to an amazing world you have created Monica Murphy! Can’t wait to immerse myself more.
