Publisher's summary

This workshop, recorded live in Chicago, Illinois, focuses on how to find your life's mission, or "Sacred Contract." By coming to know your mission, you can live your life in a way that makes best use of your energy. Finding out where you invest your energetic currency can show you how to manage your power as opposed to being managed by it. When you're working well with your energy, you're also making the best expression of it and living in accord with your Sacred Contract.

Caroline Myss shows you how to discover your archetypal patterns, both symbolically and literally, and how to find the four archetypes we all share and the eight that are uniquely ours. By using these patterns, she teaches you how to use the "Archetypal Wheel" as an intuitive method to interpret the behind-the-scenes patterns of your life, revealing that your experiences and relationships to be spiritual dramas that are filled with opportunities for personal transformation.

Message Important: Messenger Not So Much

Would you listen to Finding Your Sacred Contract again? Why?

I will give it another listen because I find the information presented in the book interesting and actually very important in the growth of the soul.

I feel like a lot of significant information is missed when one listens to a lecture but arent't present at it. You can't see the slides or powerpoint presentation that the people at the lecture can so you are left at a disadvantage.

I read Archetypes before this one on Sacred Contracts. Archetypes was very detailed and I did not find anything new in this book but Archetypes was written after Sacred Contracts to expand on the material and you can't really find your contract without knowing your archetypes.

Advice: Read Sacred Contracts first then Archetypes.

Would you recommend Finding Your Sacred Contract to your friends? Why or why not?

I would. The material is so important for growth it is definitely worth a listen.

What didn’t you like about Caroline Myss’s performance?

The author/presenter's voice is so grating and tinged with arrogance and is so annoying that it detracts from the presentation. She keeps people at a distance with her tone so she does not have to defend her self against those who might question her.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Not in this one, read Archetypes after. You will be moved when she is speaking about yours. You will hear the voice of God under the grating, condescending tone of the speaker.

A graet listen to how to make the most out of life

The Author expalins how the 12 Archeotypes in our personality can gives a guide to what our life goal should be. By knowing what the strengs, and weakness each Archeotype has we can make the better decisions during our life. Success becomes easier, by using the strengs of each Archeotype to our advantage instead of struggling because of the miss management of the weakness, and strengths of each Archeotype which affectt the way we decide, and behave.

Compelling and Insightful

Caroline Myss is nearly unrivaled at communicating about archetypes. In this book she covers archetypes common to everyone and how to determine archetypes that are unique to you. If you enjoy Jung and Campbell you’ll love Myss. However, Myss is much more accessible and down to earth.
