My favorite book to date

personally I love this book .... with that being said ..... I would've been happier if Raven would have been handled harsher .... this is Finn and Presley story so piss on Raven!

Excellent story

I loved this story and will listen to it many times. I also loved almost all of audiobooks from this author and enjoyed most of them. I look forward more from her. Narrators were spot on and will look more from them too. Highly recommend!

Loved it all

I laughed! I cried! This book conquered! This is my first book narrated by Desiree and I am totally pleased with her!

Incredibly Cheesy

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Ultimately this wasn't an awful book, and I get that with it being a romance, cheese comes with the territory, but boy oh boy was this one cheesy. If cheese is your thing then do it, but if you gag easily at cheesy language coming out of male (and female for that matter) characters' mouths, like basically them saying "My heart is filled with burning ardent passion for you my love" then I don't suggest getting this. Along with the cheesy lines, the storyline was sweet, but relatively predictable, however I will qualify that by saying that the cheesiness and predictability isn't too unknown in the romance world, so that may be exactly what you are looking for!

great story line

I couldn't get into the story at first, but once I did I was pulled in and couldn't get pulled out. The story line is deeply moving and both main characters were brilliantly written. The narrator's did an excellent job making this book come to life.

Wow. Wow. I love it. The characters were good and the story was excellent. It dealt with real topics related to military families. I truly enjoy it. Oh and yesssss Finn Black is my hero!! Soooo sexy and hottttt🔥😍

Loved it but Is it really a stand alone??

Let me start by saying this should not be a stand alone book. I listened to this book and about 1/2 through I stopped to go research to make sure it wasn't part of a series and I had just missed that. There are too many side characters and too many references to what happened to each of them in the past for this to feel like a stand alone. I finally was told by someone that the author has a series called Surrender that has all of these same characters and the Finn plays a large roll in those book so I know now why I was so confused. That being said I would have given this book 5 stars but I didn't because I felt like I was missing something the entire time I was listening to it. Honestly I think starting with Finn (the only one on Audio) actually hurt this story for me because I didn't like some of the side characters and if I had started with the series I probably would have liked them because I would have understood their actions.

Ok Back to this book... I really enjoyed this story. The relationship started out a little too "insta-love" for my taste but the author was able to make it believable which isn't an easy thing IMHO. This was a beautiful love story between a scared and insecure girl and a sweet but over protective guy who knows his own heart which was a wonderful change for me! I'd love more on this group of friends and hope that the rest of these books will be released on audio so I can start from the beginning. I really want to hear Declan and Raven's story as well as Robbie and Ember!

I loved all the characters, you really fot to know them. Can't wait to read more by this author.
