Publisher's summary

The everyday world is full of strange and magical creatures, and some of them don’t play nice….

Protecting innocents in the mortal world is not a job to be taken lightly, and life for the paranormal Younglings is spiraling back to Insanityville.

Stranded spirits, violent, rogue vampires and evil demons are bad enough…but now there’s a serial killer on the loose.

The cunning vampire ministry will go to any lengths to secure the half-angel’s blood, but can they find out Eve’s identity? A tenacious vampire tracker is determined to locate her, and he’s closing in.

For some Younglings, love lives are blossoming; for others, love is on the verge of crumbling. And a newcomer, sent to spy on the Younglings, brings an unexpected twist. As normal, trouble follows the Younglings like a menacing cloud, and this time it arrives in the guise of savage combat vampires.

To make matters worse, merciless witch hunters are stalking Millie—they will do anything to see her dead. Can the Younglings protect her?

Monsters don’t always have claws or fangs…sometimes they hide in plain sight—and they’re just as deadly.

Being one of the Younglings can be bad for the health....

Fire & Magic is the second book in The Younglings series. An action-packed, gripping, full-length, coming of age, YA paranormal fantasy, it will transport urban fantasy fans to a fascinating, supernatural world within our own. Filled with magic, suspense, danger, sizzling action and adventure, a large dose of humour and thrilling paranormal romance, this book will take the listener on a rollercoaster of a ride.

Young and Dumb Superpowered Teens Save The World

Quote:📖
Certain situations call for well thought out stupidity.

Thoughts: 💡
I think teens would like this story because the characters make the sort of decisions and have the thought processes that are age appropriate with their insecurities and misguided ideas plaguing their thoughts.

Writing Mechanics: ✍️
The story is a very fast paced story with a focus on the characters. There always seems to be several plots in each book. Some of them appear in succession with a few story arcs through the whole book. There are elements in the story that reminded me of Twilight with plenty of sparkly vampires, shapeshifters, werewolves, demons, angels, and ghosts.

Narration: 🔊
The narrator is a fast talker and I enjoy his voice when he does a single accent, but there are multiple accents and dialects in this book and I think it would be a struggle for anyone to do on their own. The sound quality is clear with a steady volume and pace.

Fun Bits:
⚜️ Fighting Suped Up Bad Guys
⚜️ Super Powered Teenagers
⚜️ Multiple Love stories include Friends to
Lovers, Second Chances, and Insta Love
⚜️ Found Family
⚜️ LGBT representations
⚜️ Multicultural

Important Note:✨
This is book 2 you will need to read or listen to book 1 and then book 3.

All the things you loved about the first return along with more time with Miguel an unexpected turn for Natasha. More younglings??? Yes. Also loved the name of the head witch hunter! If you loved BUFFY you’ll dig this. The Netflix announcement must be coming soon… right?? RIGHT??
The ending is perfect to end a season on!
