Publisher's summary

Newly divorced and romantically pessimistic, Ian Pratchett doesn't know why he's been set up with Penny Parker. She's unrelentingly positive, utterly superstitious, and sexually inexperienced - everything Ian is not. But when sparks fly between them, Ian sees the possibility of a life he'd given up hoping for...with a woman he would never have expected.

Contains mature themes.

Highly Recommend

I love Abigail Barnette and she did not disappoint in this story. I do hope that there is another book with Ian's pov because it was nice to have a male pic story.

I’m really trying.

The narrator is so bad. It’s making it difficult to keep listening. Which sucks because I think the story has real potential and I was excited to listen to it.

THE BEST EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you could sum up First Time: Ian's Story in three words, what would they be?

DELICIOUSLY SWEET!

What did you like best about this story?

That it was REAL...not some fluffy over the top unbelievable garbage.

Which character – as performed by Antony Ferguson – was your favorite?

IAN!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Any additional comments?

Love Ian’s POV

Love Ian and Penny’s love story being told BUT the narration is awful, his accent sounds Canadian more than anything and Penny who is from PA sounds British most of the time. Also, how did Jenna become Gina from the Boss series to this one? It drove me nuts. The female narration for Penny’s POV is better, luckily but it’s not CJ Bloom who narrated the Boss Series.

Good but not great

I wanted more. I feel like this story is incomplete. May e the author was tired and wanted move on to other projects but it was a good story that I wanted to be a part of where it was going. This story just ended. this was my first and possibly last book by this author. Anthony Ferguson has narrated other books for me that I've enjoyed. I wish that he could do more than just the one female voice and the one male voice. can I do better?? Absolutely NOT. Anyway, I'm glad I got it for free.

Lovely

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I started out thinking this is going to be boring and I almost stopped listening... but I kept on.
I started liking it more and more.
Anthony Ferguson did a nice job. I did like his voice but... not so much when he did the lady's voice.
All in all... good story and I'm glad I kept going.

Fabulous story!

Abigail Barnette has written a wonderful story and her humor is delivered as needed perfectly by Antony Ferguson with such a romantic accent. The plot is good, I think the female lead could have had stronger lines to have made her a little more human but Mr. Ferguson carried all the characters well for the author. I've found a new author and will certainly buy more books by Ferguson.

Hard to listen too.

The story wasn’t bad, but I didn’t like the narrator’s voice. Especially when he tried to voice Penny. But it was a good bridge from Neil and Sofie’s story.

Enjoyed immensely. Hope to hear more in the future. Crossing my fingers that a series would be possible.
