Not what I expected but good.

I didn't get what I was expecting. Was hoping for more emotional eating causes here

Step by step plan on how to change your relationship with food and reshape your standards. Nice balance between psychology and tactics.

It was OK

The narrator read too fast and ignored punctuation that just had to be there in the actual written version or else I doubt it would have been published! Made it kind of hard to follow. It was almost too easy to tune out while listening and I caught myself wondering what she was even talking about at points. The beginning started off good, the first few chapters are informative, but the last half of the book lost me.

good summary of much current fitness thought

...and a good pep talk too.

There are a few glaring errors as well. I don't think it makes water alkaline when you add lemon juice; I don't think tomato can truly be said to be oil soluble, but I think we know what she means.

This is a good primer on a much current thought but is unaware or against the 5/2 diets that seem to work well for some. Like a lot of books in this genre, there are a lot of ideas lofted to the reader to see what can take hold, which is much better than the books that prescribe the one true way.

Narration was terrible. Specific foods mentioned.

The narrator was pretty monotone., which made it hard to keep focused. Specific foods were mentioned. You never know what food will trigger some ones binge so keep it general. Fast food, high fat food, high carb food. Very disappointing.

Good info - not good narration

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

The narrator of this book does not use effective pauses. The chapters and ideas all ran together for me. I felt like I wanted to give her speech lessons. Slow down, emphasize breaks in chapters and ideas. Give the listener time to absorb the material.

Would you be willing to try another one of Lily Chevaliet’s performances?

Not likely.
