I liked it.

Funny, interesting, good clean fun. Offers insight into the thoughts of "Generation X". It gives you things to think about without being at all "preachy". The read does a good job with different character accents and voices.

Loved it!

This book was great in that it is realistic, upbeat, humorous and light hearted all at the same time. The small town backdrop fits almost all towns. The characters are so well written that you can't help but feel like they are family. A very good read.

Real People who are Christians

I'm not usually a fan of Christian writings, with only a few notable exceptions. So, when a friend recommended Ray's books to me, I still didn't read them, even after meeting the author. (He's a really nice guy by the way.) Recently, I was looking for a new read and remembered her advice. Grabbed a copy of Flabbergasted and couldn't put it down. I bought the remainder of the trilogy the next day. Ray's three novels are unique in the Christian world of literature not becuase his characters do things, but because they are real people who are also Christians. So many Christian authors write stories about Super Christians who are going through a trial of some sort. I recognized these people as REAL, real lives, real jobs and Christians too. Christians of varying degrees, new and old. I hope other Christian authors take their signals from Ray and start writing about real characters too.

Great Narrator, entertaining Christian propaganda

What did you love best about Flabbergasted?

The narrator is spectacular.

If you’ve listened to books by Ray Blackston before, how does this one compare?

I haven't heard any others.

Which scene was your favorite?

I don't know

Who was the most memorable character of Flabbergasted and why?

Darcey with the lime green cadillac and rabbit's foot key chain is one, and Maurice.

Any additional comments?

I wish this had been catagorized as a Christian book.

Well written novel from a Christian worldview

What made the experience of listening to Flabbergasted the most enjoyable?

I loved listening to a story about modern relationships based on character rather than sex.

Comical

All of Ray’s books are comical. I have this in book form but wanted to put it on my ipod for my drive to visit family over the weekend. I like the reader, he does a really funny girl voice, I love when he does the old lady in the 2nd book. I can’t wait for the audio book of A Pagans Nightmare, now that book is off the wall hilarious.

Somehow I mourn deserting Carolina for New York than not getting the girl

My heart aches when I found the main character giving up so many friends for a better life in the Big Apple
