Publisher's summary

If we’re honest, no one really cares about theology unless it reveals a gut-level view of God’s presence. According to pastor and ministry leader Hugh Halter, only the incarnational power of Jesus satisfies what we truly crave, and once we taste it, we’re never the same. God understands how hard it is to be human, and the incarnation - God with us - enables us to be fully alive. With refreshing, raw candor, Flesh reveals the faith we all long to experience - one based on the power of Christ in the daily grind of work, home, school, and life. For anyone burned out, disenchanted, or seeking a fresh, honest-to-God encounter, Flesh will invigorate your faith.

Hugh Halter is awesome

That's the name for my review because it's true. I swallowed the "incarnational" kool-aid years ago and I'm constantly trying to find books that support the subject. This one hits the mark and goes a bit deeper than The Tangible Kingdom. It also lists some practical ways to implement this type of discipleship into daily life.

Well done

I received this book from a friend and I am very satisfied with the content! This book offered confirmation for if quite a few things that I had already believed, but also opened my eyes to more options than truth allow me to move forward even further in my spiritual walk. Thank you so greatly for your penmanship.

Less Programming - More Life Around a Table

This is a challenging and refreshing read for any follower of Jesus. The pressure is off, church leaders. Less programming - more life around a table together. If the people we serve get THAT, it changes everything.

Good book

This book challenged me in many ways, not only a Christian, but as a pastor as well. Great read.

Changes the way we view Christianity

Hugh's first book, The Tangible Kingdom, changed the way that I did life as a pastor. Flesh, brings this change to a new level as it challenges us to become the incarnate Christ for our world to see! This is a must read for ANYONE who would be in the "none" category of religion.
