Great book!

To me, keeping in mind the author had to build the story, was slow initially. However, I was pleasantly surprised by a few unexpected twists. The author touched on a very heavy duty topics which could raise some awareness. I enjoyed the book as well as its narration!

I thought that this book was very enjoyable. I kept me interested and eager to hear more.

What other book might you compare Fly Betty to and why?

I honestly wouldn't compare it to any other book I have read before. The reason being is that the story is just different. Each character has a story to tell and it comes out in a very unique way.

Have you listened to any of Jessica Pimentel’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have not listened to any other performances by Jessica Pimenthel in the past but I did enjoy her performance for this particular book.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes but I simply did not have the time.

Great Book

Great story and narration. It was hard to put down and I’m not a big reader.

Loved the story

I truly enjoyed the story. I plan on listening to more novels by this author. My only complaint is with the narrator. She was tough to listen to in the beginning. I even considered not finishing the book within the first 10-15 minutes because of the poor reading. I’m so happy that I stuck it out.

Great Story - Not so0 great narration

I was rooting for Fly Betty the entire book. I didn't understand how Scar had the money, to throw around. The ending was 'Fly Betty'! The rules, wake me up when they are over. The ending ties everything together. I like how the author weaves the story together with the two generations.

This book performance would be Dynamic, with another narrator. It might be better self read!

Great Story

Loved it. The Book and the Reader were awesome. From beginning to end, I was stuck. I can't believe I hadn't read this sooner.

Omg Awesome

Omg this book was awesome from start to finish. It took some time to get used to the person reading because it was super slow, my advice would be to increase speed to 1.25 so that it seems light she's speaking at a normal speed. Worth the money great read. I'm going to read more books by this author now. Not your typical hood story, great writing.

Awful Narrator

I like the author, but it was hard to get into the story because the narrator is terrible. I struggled to finish the book due to the narrator.

Besides a winding twisting 🎢 rollercoaster of a story the finally completely caught me off guard!!!
