About this listen

Two mothers face the consequences of their choices in a gripping novel about friendship, family, and forgiveness by Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling author Jamie Beck.

Grace first met Mimi when she blew into their sons’ toddler playgroup like a warm bay breeze that loosened Grace’s tight spaces. Despite differing approaches to life and parenting, the fast friends raised their kids together while cementing a sisterlike bond that neither believed could be broken. But when a string of ill-fated decisions results in a teen party with a tragic outcome for Grace’s son, the friendship is ripped apart and an already-splintered community explodes.

Accusations are leveled, litigation ensues, and the people of Potomac Point take sides, all of which threatens Mimi’s business and her current custody agreement. Her sole salvation is a young cop who just might be her second chance at love. That fact only antagonizes Grace, whose marriage is crumbling beneath the weight of blame and the echo of past mistakes.

With their lives unraveling, the former friends stand to lose everything they love unless they learn to forgive - both themselves and each other.

Grace is annoying af

I love Amy McFadden. I love the author and I liked the story, but the character of Grace was so bloody annoying I just wanted to choke her to get her to stop whining. My sympathies to Sam for having to put up with her

Another good one

I have read everything Jamie has written and always watch for the new ones to come out. Her stories never fail to touch my heart and make me find time to read them every day.

I had to ff sometimes because the story got bogged down. Fair—not my fav—but easy to listen to.

Not my favorite

Ther performances on this one were great, but this book centers around some very heavy subjects. The story starts with a rift between 2 friends that centers around a school budget debate, which does not seem like something that would be so important of an issue that it ripples throughout the community and causes bullying of kids at school. My biggest issue with this one was the character of Grace; I found I really didn’t like her, and everything was all about her- her husband wasn’t validating her feelings, her daughter doesn’t act like she expects, her dreams for her son may never come to be, etc. It is hard to get vested in a story when you dislike the main character so much...

Love love love this series

I absolutely LOVE this series. I’m usually a fan of mysteries and thrillers so it takes a really good author to pull my interest in fiction. The characters and their situations are all so relatable even if you’ve never personally been through the same. I found myself yet again so engrossed in this book that I just had to finish it by listening to it for hours straight over a couple of days. I hope the author writes more books in this series!

I love Jamie Beck Books But……

The story was good, however, it just seemed to drag on. I wanted to shake Grace. I get all why she was doing and feeling but dang. And Kimmy the daughter, I that was bad. Mom needed to teach her about being selfish. Also, it just kinda ended. I don’t know what I expected but did not care for this book much.

For All She Knows

This is the story of two families who's lives are changed over an accident. Moms who were best friends but sons who were friends but not best friends, the community who divided and lines that were drawn. No amount of fighting and litigation can bring back trust when it is lost, only forgiveness.
