About this listen

Stephanie Plum, Trenton, New Jersey's favorite pistol-packing, condom-carrying bounty hunter, is back and on the trail of a revenge-seeking waitress who's skipped bail. With the help of 73-year-old Grandma Mazur, ex-hooker Lula, a transvestite musician named Sally Sweet, and the all-too-hospitable, all-too-sexy Joe Morelli, Stephanie might just catch her woman. Then again, with more mishaps than there are exits on the Jersey Turnpike, including murders, firebombs, and Stephanie's arch-rival bounty hunter chasing after the same fugitive, Stephanie better watch her back big-time if she wants to live to crack this case.Don't forget to download the rest of the Stephanie Plum series.©1998 Evanovich, Inc. Featured Article: The top 100 series of all time

The feeling of discovering that your favorite new listen is actually the start of a series is euphoric. That you can immediately hit play and re-enter a beloved new world, or love story, or era from history is a gift to the devoted listener. But how to pick just 100 of these unique and immersive listening journeys? We defined a series as having a minimum of three books, and—after some debate—we decided the titles had to be anchored in fiction. From YA to horror to historical fiction, from fresh voices to seminal tales, hours of discovery await.

good book bad reader

I agree with all the other reviews. The narrator is awful. The book is good though. Since I don't have time to sit and read I am glad I listened to the book. It was worth putting up with the awful reading to get to "read" the book.

Bingeworthy break from dystopia and sci fi

I was looking for a “nice” listen. No vampires, no monsters, no outer space, no Nazis, no blood. I am picky...no tired metaphors, no time travel, no flying cars, no simpy, ridiculous characters. This is exactly what I was looking for! It is not “high art”. It is well written, mental snack food that is really entertaining. If you have never read these, Stephanie Plum is an unwitting bail bonds”man”. She can be ditzy and fallible, she weaves her way in and out of trouble. But, she never gives up and usually comes out on top at the end. The characters are well written, sometimes hilarious, sometimes downright silly, but I do love me some Stephanie Plum stories. Narration is well done and makes this an easy listen. Try it! You may like it!

F bombs galore

Language not appropriate for young audiences, hard to censor. although it is hilarious for adults.

Stephenie Plum is the best!

These are wonderful that I can over and over again. Lorelei is a great narrator who breaths life into the characters.

I love audible!

I love this series so much, but do not have time to sit and read a book. It is so nice to be able to work through the series on my way to, and from work!

Cross country Laughter

Silly, sexy, random, human, entertaining hi jinx that balances plausibility with incredulity in the funniest way. These people are family.
